49 with 6 kids (4 minors) so I don't have time for dating. Hell, I'm not even looking. I got divorced last year for peace and I can't imagine a worse way to eff up my life than to add some clingy arse woman.

I was divorced in my 40s, it was a great time. I dated everything from 20 year old nursing students, a 58 year old retiree, and everything in between.. Money is somewhat irreverent to a point, a couple of women seemed to want know how much I made, but the other 99% didn’t know or ask. You need to be able to go out to eat somewhere nice once in a while, and if it’s someone you like, and have dated for a while maybe take a weekend trip. I consulted with a married female friend at the time on what to wear, and what women liked in men. It was really helpful, maybe do the same if possible. I had kids that were still young, I kept my kid’s life and my dating life separated, the only women they got to meet was the last one I dated and married.

Welcome to hell! I’m mid 30s never married but have been engaged 3 times and 4 long term relationships. I’m more than average looking. Gym 5 days a week and make enough money. You’re gonna get stood up by girls that are well within your league. Don’t sweat it. It’s just how it is. I just relocated so that didn’t make it easier but finding someone with a similar outlook towards relationships are much tougher than you remember it being before your last marriage.
I don’t want to be a dick, but I think the problem might be you. Seek guidance.

Is your ex a good mom to your kids?
Do you have joint custody?
If the answer is yes to both, you’re making the right choice.

I have full custody of my teenage twins and joint custody of my 5 y/o twins. She's a good mom and we get along for the most part.

Found out my ex was pregnant the last time while I was sitting in my Urologist's waiting room. Love them more than life itself but THAT was a bad day.

That's right now, before the divorce. AFTER the divorce you probably won't be a 6 figure guy.

Never ever ever date a teacher. That make shite for money and you will have to constantly hear about how hard their jobs are. (Nurses are the same but at least they make more)
This may be the wisest advice ever given on this site.

Sounds like you can afford decent hookers. Stick with that, it’s cheaper.

Yep, and that 1 probably won't want to see you again. Most all are misleading about their weight.
Photo Filters are the enemy.
It can be fun but if don't get your hopes up until you meet them. That's the true test. Don't spend much money on that first date because you're likely to have a whole lot of first dates.
I can't stress it enough. Meet up with them as early as you can. You will get ghosted more times than you want to admit. Don't get discouraged.

Maybe you'll get lucky like me, and have health problems make dating something you don't care about anymore.
