Those cable barriers are pretty strong.
I've seen a truck all wrapped up in one

They’re designed to prevent vehicles from bouncing back into travel lanes as you see with concrete. They work exceptionally well in most cases but I’m not sure concrete would’ve even held at the angle the truck crossed the median.

The van appears to brake momentarily seeing the truck coming. Damn, that’s a dreadful what if...

Trying to figure out how the white car ended up under the trailer in the last photo. It is nowhere to be seen in the dashcam. Unless it’s the car approaching in the trucks side mirror.

Damn. They were just a fraction of a second from getting clear of that truck.

And people argue against robots driving. Shits a thousand times safer than being on the road with all these idiots.

Could happen at any point of any day to any person here.

I saw a person, or two, flying into the woods too. That is horrible for everyone directly or indirectly involved.

Here in CO they have been replacing the solid ones like in the video with cable barriers. They're supposed to work better but it's hard to see how they would. In any case, I'm not sure they'd stop that guy.
Wrecks like this happen daily in CO

Hopefully videos like this will make people realize autonomous cars and semis can and will save a lot of lives. It’s time humans move past accidents like this.

Ocala for some reason it's really bad. Traffic is almost always over 90 mph right before you get the three Ocala exits.

I’m not ordinarily in favor of government regulations, but I don’t see why all semis aren’t governed to a top speed of 60. Given their weight, the risk to public safety when one is going any faster than that outweighs other considerations in my opinion.

stretch of I-75 on a regular basis. It’s incredibly dangerous. For whatever reason, traffic absolutely halls arse from Ocala to the Georgia line. There are routinely major accidents with fatalities in that area.

Yep. I did my residency in Gainesville. It’s a level I trauma center and the I75 corridor has a lot to do with that.

They're going to be the 1st thing replaced by autonomous vehicles.

I could not discern any bodies, thankfully.

This is a very sad occurrence. Devastating. If the semi driver had a medical emergency, even more tragic. His family must be suffering as well.
