Finishing Meyer’s book Signature in the Cell. I’m sold.

They typically arrive at that conclusion after real scientific study and not hyperbole, or reading opinions of randos on the Internet.

How many of those persons spoke/wrote about evolution? Wasn’t your claim about scientists no longer giving validity to the theory?

Buncha nuts right here:
Historical Scientists Who Believed
Isaac Newton: Formulated laws of motion and gravity, viewed God as infinite and omnipotent.
Gregor Mendel: Father of modern genetics, an Augustinian friar.
Galileo Galilei: Believed in God and the Bible, but disputed traditional interpretations.
Johannes Kepler: Astronomer who saw God in the mathematical harmony of the universe.
Blaise Pascal: Mathematician and physicist who wrote extensively on faith.
Robert Boyle: Chemist, Bible scholar, and founder of modern chemistry.
Modern Scientists Who Believe
Francis Collins: Led the Human Genome Project, became a Christian, seeing faith as intellectually satisfying.
Michael Guillen: Harvard physicist and former atheist who found faith after a scientific career.
Vera Kistiakowsky: Nuclear physicist who found divine order in the universe.
Arthur Compton: Nobel laureate in physics, devout Christian.
Seem to be responding to my post, which called into question the claim that scientists, whether or not they believe, had dismissed evolution. It is widely accepted as the explanation for most of our current biological life and how it developed, by a majority of scientists. The OP offered not one ounce of evidence that it has been dismissed/discredited (but did, by his unsupported and erroneous claim, imply some little spirit in the sky did all of this and bestowed its wisdom to some herders in the Leviant a few thousdand years ago).
And quite a few of those were persecuted by their religion for believing in science, not just GG.
Try again.

Many of them, I would imagine.
They didn't dismiss evolution out if hand, but many arrived at a "cosmic force" or a "Creator" as a scientific, logical conclusion.

The real issue is that many in here want to ignore how fast adaptive mutation can occur. They cannot fathom what 1 billion years is in a timescale, but know enough to claim it simply is not enough time.
Mutations do not happen at a constant rate and are accelerated based on the environmental conditions at hand.
For example, more mutations happen when exposed to high levels of radiative energy, whether it be thermal, gamma, x-ray, microwave, etc.
The Eartg was molten rock at the beginning and slowly cooled. And has been cooling for the most part in the big picture despite small fluctuations in micro-time scales.
Does this mean the theory of evolution is infallible? No, but it is more likely than the idiotic arguments with no facts to support them by organizations like the Discovery Institute.
Corona Viruses and Influenza viruses are a prime example oit how fast organisms or non-living genetic mutation to adapt to environmental stresses can occur. They mutate in matter of weeks to stressors, which is why the vaccines have almost always failed for them long term.
In the end, Stephen Meyer is not in any way a scientist. He is a philosopher claiming to be a scientist and deeply relies on the premise of religion for supporting his arguments. It is critical to ask questions, but knowing what is driving those questions for a particular person is also critical to keep in mind.

All religions came from the original that was practiced by Adam, Noah, and eventually Abraham. Even the Muslims. But you knew that right?
Holy shite, this may be one of the most myopic statements o have ever seen.
You basically are claiming that only abrahamic faiths count as religions. You are ignoring every other belief structure that has existed throughout time and the fact that many others such a Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, etc exist today that have absolutely no connection to your list of what started it all.
Since, you know, religion is only allowed from one starting point according to you.

Remember when ‘science’ changed the definition of ‘vaccine’ during covid to fit whatever shot they were pushing at the time?
Or Fauci saying ‘I am the science’?

Then why do so many of them get up in arms when others even question the theory?
Posted on 12/30/25 at 5:40 pm to weagle1999
Do they? I don’t know. I suppose it would also depend on what type of questioning is happening. The “I didn’t come from no monkey” type of questioning deserves ridicule if we’re being honest.

Holy shite. This thread is still going?
And you’ve been in it since this morning?
I’ll give you this much, you’re very dedicated to your religion, even if you can admit that, at least to you, it’s a religion.
