Sounds like a weekend at your house for a lucky woman.

But hey- lots of opportunities at Home Depot at 6 am for you though. City is rocking and I think the latinos are making another bid for ownership after the whole hand-over debacle back in 1803. Good news all around!!

New Orleans is great. There's a good reason more people visit NOLA than Houston.

Birmingham has a lot of history too, yet it's still a shithole. Government corruption, dysfunction, high crime, shitty infrastructure. Yep, there's a lot of similarities there.

I'm about to head there for plans my wife made and I'm dreading it and dragging my feet. I hate that place.

because Hellabama, if y'all didn't have a little bit of beach there they would build overpasses and bypasses so no one would have to even be in the place

That's not true Rex. You're pulling "facts" out of your arse.

I mean, at least Alabama has elevation changes. Comparing Louisiana and Alabama in terms of which is better is a pretty asinine argument. Both are shitty by most metrics.

I get a long fine here due to spending most of my time in the wilderness (kayaking, hiking, mountain biking), but in terms of cities I want to visit, neither states offer much at all.

The people on here make it sound like a hell hole but I agree with you, it's my favorite city in America.

Understood. You won't find me defending Alabama. I can see how outside perspectives view it as shitty. As it is now it offers the wife and I outdoor opportunities, a good school, and a low cost of living.

After graduation though, my arse is fleeing.
