I agree, man, it's totally his fault.

You have 12 jurors and it only takes one to disagree and she is not guilty. No one is saying it’s a perfect world, it’s a horrible tragedy this guy was shot.

But if this DA doesn’t offer a plea and goes for Murder I don’t see that happening.

She can still be found guilty of manslaughter.

She can be found guilty of lesser charges in Texas. This has been explained at least every 2 pages.

This bitch, instead of rendering aid sat there and texted her frick buddy cop partner. That's not accidental, that's cover you own arse behavior. Of course she then turned around and deleted text messages between her and the same partner... as did he. 2 officers attempting to destroy evidence.

My bet is outright not guilty.
1. pretty obvious it was accidental.
2. Considering state of mind totally justified, fricked up, but justified
3. Factor in exhaustion and excited utterances and clear there was zero intent

Regardless of how it plays out, somebody isnt going to be happy.

Ah, but this wasn't an "accidental shooting", this would be considered lapse of judgement. The shooting itself was by definition, intentional. In other words, she didn't drop the gun and it went off. Her lapse of judgement caused the murder of an innocent man, she is absolutely responsible for that. I don't think she gets off at all, IMO she gets prison time. We shall see.

And should point out if the victim did smoke marijuana in his apartment, wouldn't the killer notice it didn't smell like her place? I've repeatedly met officers who swear by their training and recognition of this odor. Weird it would fail them in such a situation.

I see she was terminated from the DPD last year. Wonder if it was because she killed a guy or because she was banging her partner.

What does this have to do with the prosecution? Sounds like it could be prejudicial against the defendant.

quote:

Former prosecutor, now defense attorney, George Milner expects day one of trial to be especially emotional, anticipating that Allison Jean will take the stand to talk about her son, the 26-year-old accountant, church choir singer, and volunteer from St. Lucia.

quote:

"I suspect that she will be, if not the first witness, one of the lead witnesses for the state,” Milner said. “They're going to want to get the jury emotional, thinking about the loss to Botham Jean's family."

Was she a witness to the crime? I could see this in sentencing, but not at the trial.

quote:

Amber Guyger was distracted by Dallas police colleague she was sexting the night of deadly shooting

Imaging that.

She opened a stranger's door and killed him in his own damn living room! Why would it not be murder 2?! If she ever had a run in with this neighbor, they should pursue murder 1

Just giving my opinion. Murder 2 is intentional killing but not premeditated. This case seems like it might be hard to prove that she intended to kill him. Voluntary manslaughter seems more likely.

I agree. I’m not sure why they’d need character witnesses for the victim.

Lol, yes. Texas has the most perfect legal system ever! No one is ever found innocent. In fact, even the cops are perfect in Texas...wait...shite...

She pulled out a gun, aimed center mass, and then pulled the trigger. It ain't like she dropped her gun and a round negligently discharged.

I’m assuming it’s because you are trying to convince 12 people that the lady cop is guilty. If there are a few liberals on the jury, it makes sense as they love to make decisions based on “feelings.”

If the defense brings up any drug use by the victim, then lining up a bunch of character witnesses would also make sense.

I’m not a lawyer so don’t listen to me, but in my head the above sounds reasonable. I’m sure tugging on heartstrings and getting a few folks pissed off at the defendant could be beneficial to the prosecution.

Absolutely not.

Some folks need to learn the difference between accidental and unintentional, the distinction is large.

If there are white conservatives on the jury they will feel the black victim is guilty of something and deserved what he got anyway.

if this cop gets off, it will be because a conservative juror did not want to put a police officer in prison
