Dallas one ups New Orleans Again: Police: Woman raped after Dallas couple taken from bed a

DALLAS - Dallas police are searching for two men involved in an aggravated kidnapping and sexual assault.
Investigators say the suspects used an open balcony door to enter an apartment on Bolivar Dr. early Wednesday morning.
They pulled a man and woman out of their bed at gunpoint, then drove them to an ATM and forced them to withdraw cash.
The male victim fought with the younger suspect, and was shot in the hip.
The suspects then drove off with the woman they kidnapped.
Police say they raped her and left her several miles from her home.
"Anytime violence happens to anybody, it's tragic, but when we're sleeping in our bed at 1 a.m. in the morning, we feel like we're safe," DPD Major Danny Williams said.
Police have identified one of the suspects as a 16-year-old, and have a warrant for his arrest.
The other suspect has not been identified.
Both victims were taken to the hospital and are expected to be physically oka

What the frick is going on in dallas lately. 9 year old girl bystander killed at an apartment complex 2 days ago. Overall high murder rate this year. Police chief that's MIA. DA that's lax on crime.

This type of shite has happen for awhile. It just not reported.
Similar crime happened in BTR in the early 90s. There was a racial component to it also. Not deemed news worthy then.

That's in a hispanic area just north of Love Field airport. Apartments around there look a little shady from street view. Nothing to see here. I still feel safer than I would if I lived in Nola.

Torch is correct. Dallas PD is in a crisis mode right now. When you have a major staff shortage of officers caused by a number of factors(pension debacle, leaving for more money in the suburbs, low morale, etc), this is what you get. Hell, the female Police Chief is actually on “leave” & they won’t say why or where she is even at due to “privacy laws”. This city’s safety has gone totally downhill since I moved here after Katrina.
Bear in mind, if you are anywhere downtown to the northern part of the city you have a good chance of not getting shot. West Dallas & anything south of 1-30, good luck.
