While both the mayor and the DA are certified morons, let's not pretend that NOLA hasn't been stepping on their own dick for decades when it comes to choosing competent leadership.

Yep. At some point residents (of the entire state really) need to come to the realization that this is the best Louisiana Voters can do.
Its the population.

Who really cares anymore. New Orleans is destroyed and it isn’t coming back. Why fight about it?
Move on. They’ve taken it. You’re not getting it back. It’s over.

Honestly I wish he and Teedy would just start flaunting it and telling it like it is.
"Yeah we fricked up the city. And we're gonna keep doing it. And you know what? frick you. What are you gonna do about it? We can do anything we want and you're not gonna do anything. We won reelection. We'd win it again today. We'd win it again next year. And the people after us are going to be worse and they will win reelection no matter what, and there's nothing you can do about it...
NONE OF YOU CAN STOP US. I'M LETTING 10 MURDERERS OUT JUST TO LAUGH AT YOU. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

I’m convinced that the mayors of New Orleans, San Francisco, and Chicago all meet together and collude on how to turn their cities into the most un-livable, uncivilized shitholes imaginable.
Why shouldn't they? WHo is gonna stop them? You deserve the shite you live in if you continue voting these authoritarians into office......time......and time....and time again.

I would love to see these numbers broken down by race.

They pretty much do that now with some talk, but more importantly, their ACTIONS.
You do realize if they straight up told everyone, this would just make them more popular with Progressives and "moderates"? The more vile the political leader, the more they are adored by these types of voters.
These people destroying things allows leftists to say stupid shite like "well Louisiana is a RED state. This is what happens in places like that". Leftists also view this as a win over their enemies, even though the city is full of the minorities they claim to love.

And there's absolutely no recourse. There's no way to fight it. They've been elected. They've been re-elected. They've beaten recalls. They would literally be elected again tomorrow.
Give up and move on. Your city is gone. You can either live in this dystopian hellscape and like it or you can move.

With modern technology like cameras, cell phone tracking, DNA and other forensic advancements, conviction rates should be extremely high.
Are there any historical stats showing if conviction rates are increasing or decreasing, in New Orleans or across the country?

Yes, it's called the Aspen Institute and it's where Teedy (and before her Mitch) and the other mayors of shitholes routinely get their marching orders.

The DNC and its donors hand pick DAs that will be soft on minority crime. Thats literally why they are in office.
The only reason DAs like Williams exist are to keep violent black people out of prison
This is exactly correct. It's a patron-client relationship.

During the first two years under DA Williams in 2021 and 2022, the New Orleans criminal justice system saw historically high levels of violent crime that corresponded with historically low felony conviction rates.
Our report documents felony conviction rates of 15% for 2021 and 20% for 2022 that contributed to rising violent crime. The DA’s press release states, “The statistic that matters is the one that reflects the City’s crime rate,” and attributes the decline in violent crime to strategic initiatives instituted by his office in 2023.
The MCC fundamentally agrees. The ability of felony prosecutions to impact the rate of crime is why we believe it is fair and appropriate for our report to conclude, “Every category of felony crime experienced a lower felony conviction rate under DA Williams, which is reflective of a shift in prosecutorial policy that compromises the work of the New Orleans Police Department and the safety of citizens.”

He straight up told everyone during his campaign that he wasn't going to prosecute any black people and now people are pissed off about it

Would love to see some follow up statistics showing before & after his carjacking.
For the record, in 2019 under Cannizzaro there was a 33% refusal rate & 8% dismissed. 30% found guilty

Nah, they just refer to the book "Rules for Radicals - the Affirmative Action Hire Edition".

Would love to see this. I have a strong feeling what it breaks down to but withhold judgement until I can verify.
