Seems like there's a lot of disappointment among the Tesla faithful over the 50-60% price increase above what was originally promised with mediocre range across the board

What this board won't admit is how critical they can be. They threw a baseball at the window instead of a ball bearing and called them out on that shite right away. That being said, we all knew the price would go up. It is natural to expect the higher end of things when being told you would have to spend more

The videos of it pulling the sled and then out running a 911 in the quarter mile while pulling a 911 on a trailer were impressive and entertaining.

I have to admit that is one of the best bits of car marketing I have ever seen. They did steal the idea from Motortrend that did it with a Model X and an Alfa Romeo 4C 5 years ago or so.

I will say it did trigger me unreasonably. It does set the Cybertruck baws up for some fishing if somebody is driving anything other than a base 992. It would be fun to take them to Gapplebees, even without the trailer.

Had a reservation that was about #90K in line, but will probably let that one go and just drive my F-150 till the wheels fall off given the price increase here. I have a second Cybertruck reservation that will be probably 3-4 years out from delivery that I intend to keep once prices come down and all the kinks have been worked out.

What if you are running low, you get to work, plug it in and some idiot is having a bad day and decides to just unplug your shite for no reason? It would suck to find out the hard way the charger you are using went bad.

Teslas have an app, you’d know it was disconnected or not charging.

You’d also have video of the person doing it that you could show them at Sonic.

Cool truck. But for $100,000 ; Elon’s making a nice status symbol for rich people , not revolutionizing the light pickup truck market.

Isn’t his Twitter losing millions a day due to loss in advertising dollars? He’s gotta make up his losses somehow.

Well, first you have to build a "light pickup truck" in order to revolutionize that market.

You don't consider 7000lbs light? We need a road tax on EVs for the weight they carry.

Many states are adding registration fees to offset the loss of road tax. For example, EV owners in Texas will pay more than their fair share.
