We've discussed sending young Alan to Xavier University to be a pharmacist.

Well well well..if it isnt Mitch the Bitch

Major Mitch Landrieu on Monday (April 23) announced the upcoming adoption of the Public Safety Assessment (PSA) Model, a tool aimed at helping judges better determine who poses a public-safety risk, as part of ongoing efforts by city leaders to reduce New Orleans' jail population.
quote:
The PSA Model, developed by the Laura and John Arnold Foundation, purports to help judges better determine which felony defendants should be allowed to go free and which should remain jailed while awaiting trial.
The tool aims to reduce the jail population by helping judges better identify low-risk defendants who could be safely released ahead of their trials.
Releasing low-risk defendants would save taxpayers money, improve fairness and efficiency in the system, and could reduce crime, according to a Monday news release from Landrieu's office.
"Research indicates that pretrial detention of low risk defendants increases the likelihood of future crime," Orleans Criminal District Court Chief Judge Keva Landrum-Johnson said in the release.

"The Public Safety Assessment provides judges with an evidence-based tool that can be used to identify pretrial defendants who are not a risk to public safety or a flight risk and, therefore, under the U.S. Constitution should not be detained," New Orleans City Councilmember Susan Guidry said

Pharmacies need armed security like yesterday. I see these little 20 something female pharmacists and a couple 21 year old female pharmacy techs and I am thinking "robbing them of all their oxy or lorcets would be so easy."
Get some motherfricking security please. Opioid addicts are fricking crazy and will kill you in a heartbeat for a fix.

I lived about three blocks from there. Both houses on either side of me we burglarized as well as the house across from me. In addition one of my next door neighbors was choked and thrown to the ground while someone else grabbed her purse. So the neighborhood isn’t as quiet as you make it out to be. I had two big dogs which kept my house from getting hit.

I actually applaud this effort.
But the execution is bad, it is borderline unfathomable.
On what planet is a guy that commits armed robbery of a pharmacy, including kidnapping and shooting a police officer with intent to kill him is consider the lowest risk possible?
ETA:
Maybe they know he'll go back to Indianapolis if they don't monitor him and they're fine with that.
That is the only defense of this and its still a stupid one.

Agreed. Dudes shot at Cops. I’m sure they wouldn’t think twice about taking out a civilian. And they are low risk?

They should have snuck out the back door.

He should have exited on to the roof and used a receipt to rappel down.

They usually hit them after the store closed or inside job.
Either hide in the store that why these assistants need to check warehouse or anywhere that lacks sensors in the store like bathrooms after the store closes.
By the time the alarm company calls the mgr at home and then the police are called they have 5 to 7 minutes at times up to 15 minutes.
They have a better chance of not getting caught.
This was stupid doing it during the day. They must have known they were going to get caught.
Inside job usually a pharmacy tech or back then cashier swiped money or drugs. Put item in chip bag and hid behind a shelf in the store on the floor. Usually when have money missing they use to request dog to sniff for drugs on employees. Dog could not sniff the drug or money through heavy bbq chip bag smell.
Last time I went to a call like that 15 years ago, so criminals probably got smarter.
