pride87 I appreciate you trying to be a voice of reason but damn it this is all just wrong.

I agree with you 100% this is all bullshite

But the problem is a bunch of so called conservatives, and I mean a bunch, were for the original shelter in place orders

Now, they are seeing the gravity of that decision to support it unfortunately

Can you imagine Walmart, Target, Costco, Home Depot with their traffic having to contact every single person on these lists? Lol

I'd never seen the Lowes by us as crowded as it was a week or two ago. I just needed some air filters and some weedeater fuel so i turned around and went to the hardware store instead.

having to contact every person

Big night on Bourbon.
Literally thousands would need to be contacted in a few days.

I’ll do grocery pick up & order other stuff online
I wanted to be able to support local small businesses when things got back to normal but I’m not giving anyone my contact info

New Orleans will be the new Detroit by the end of the decade. A Hobbesian nightmare

There is no chance she is going to open up like the rest of the state. I bet she lets very very business open and then allows more in two weeks just so things move at her speed.

New Orleans has been a joke and it will continue to be. It is such a shame what this city could be and what it actually is. She is going to bring this city down to its lowest point, post- Katrina.

I'm conservative and I was like "well you don't want hospitals overrun" but I'm kicking myself now, not that I could have done anything anyway to change it.

I have parents with medical issues. I have older inlaws as well. I have older friends. I just feel callous when I say screw it all -- but that is how I feel.

People will die and you know what (I mean I know you do)? People die EVERY DAY. And you know what else? Sometimes, they die alone! It's not just with this "disease". It's with car accidents. It's with drug overdoses. It's with dying in their sleep in a nursing home.

shite HAPPENS and will always happen. I hate feeling this way and I feel horrible about it but it is what it is.

She's not going to open that ... I just can't see it anytime soon. We should just burn it all down and start all over.

I agree, I actually think she will do all she can to prevent the Saints from playing, especially with fans, and I fully expect her to cancel Mardi Gras 2021. She is looking to get some fame out of this

This is fast becoming like a test run to see just how much control government can wield over human beings in a free society before they put their feet down and say enough. So far, I’d say they’re doing everything they want with little push back or even concern for first amendment rights.

And look, I get the initial quarantine, but this is getting out of control now. What’s next, check points and “Papers please, Papers” ???

Looks like I will be leaving my phone at home, paying with cash and getting a fake name. Maybe even a fake ID to match.

As shitty as it is it would have made more sense if they did this 8 weeks ago
Now it’s 100% pointless
