You're telling me a $300 a person cruise out of New Orleans was trashy? and that you were surprised by that?

You are paying to meet the disney characters and be bombarded by all their marketing. There are better cruise lines out there where you wont be inundated with shite

So, you have never been on one and you are making a general assumption?

I have been on 1 cruise and I loved it. It was a 7-day trip with Carnival. It was October though, maybe that makes a difference. Not as many families because kids are in school.

That extra cost is min $7k for family of 4 for a week.

But worth every penny not having to deal with Walmarks trash.

I've been on 4 Carnival cruises. I've never heard people complain about the heat or the pool, much less 20 percent of people. But then again, I go to have a good time, I don't go to listen in on what other people are saying. I can't think of a single situation where my vacation was ruined by other people's actions.

Such as?

Also, I've spent close to 7K for a crappy interior room on a Disney cruise for a week. And you know what I saw a lot of?

I have never seen the amount of people that think they are too good to wait in lines.

I saw a bunch of entitled people - mainly Texans - think that because they paid high dollar, they could skip lines and abuse the staff.

Doesn't matter the income bracket - there is trashy people everywhere.

you can bring your own alcohol,

They severely limited this a few years ago. Now you can bring a bottle of wine or 6 beers per adult, per port stop. No hard liquor.

RCCL or Disney. Shed Carnival from my wallet years ago. There are better options out there.

I’ve been on Disney, Rc, carnival, and princess.

Disney was the best for kids but my kids loved all 3 (they didn’t go on princess)

I would take Disney out of the equation bc it’s a different experience all together (no casino, rotating restaurants, etc). I’d rank the following in this order:

1. Princess
2. Carnival
3. RC

However, the differences in the 3 were barely noticeable. We had a great time on all 4 different lines.

Well worth the extra cost over a Carnival.

Disney cruises don't even have a casino.

Carnival cruises

Found the problem. Pick a nicer cruise line if you’re gonna go that route. Carnival is the poor mans cruise and attracts the dregs of society

So, cruises or all-inclusives aren't really my thing, but why would one choose an 8-10k cruise over an all-inclusive? I feel like if I had to do one of those I'd choose all-inclusive every day, but maybe I'm missing something.

Assuming it’s at least a 4-day, you get to go to multiple places with a cruise and often, you don’t have the added expense of flights as you can drive to a port.
