Crowley man emits strong odor of weed in court, gets busted for multiple charges

Welsh – On Tuesday June 25, 2019 around 3p.m., Jarvis Martin 34 years old of Crowley appeared in Welsh City Court for citations he received prior to today. While in court officers with the Welsh Police Dept. could smell what they believed to be the odor of marijuana coming from Martins body. Martin was then escorted to the lobby of the investigations division and asked if he had any marijuana concealed on him. Martin said yes and pulled a bag of marijuana from his pocket. At that time Martin was placed under arrest then walked to the Welsh Police Dept. booking room for processing at which time officers also found almost 100 oxycodone pills in his possession. During Martins booking into the jail we learned that his vehicle was parked on the side of the Welsh Police Dept. detectives typed and were approved by the 31st District Judge a search warrant for Martin’s vehicle where officers located a handgun with a obliterated serial number along with more marijuana and a large amount of cash.
Martin was arrested and booked into the Jefferson Davis Parish Jail awaiting bond for,
Simple Possession of Marijuana
Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II Narcotics
Possession of a Firearm with Obliterated Serial Number
Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon
Money Laundering, Transaction Involving Proceeds of Crime

Not even that. Article states the guy is from Crowley. He was arrested in Welsh/Jeff Davis Parish.
