Its about this cursed VHS tape that when you play it in your VCR you will get a call on your phone (The Ring) which foretells your pending death or something. I saw it years ago and it really creeped me out. Good cast... Naomi Watts leads. Very well done. I don't get uncomfortable watching scary movies usually but this one was different for some reason. Just Evil.

The setting of the movie, rainy Seattle, rural misty Washington, horse farm, well, etc. just makes for a pretty unique mood for a horror movie.
I like it a lot in theory. But candidly, I probably wouldn't watch it right now and I'm 31.

Yeah, no chance.
I don't do well with horror movies and this one is in the top tier in terms of "scary" rankings. It is legitimately terrifying IMO.
