Creepy girl from The Ring... now...WYHI?

Not going to lie... this movie kinda scared me a little.
Still remembered the creepy way the little girl moved and came out of the TV... Here she is now
But then... the concept of The Ring is a little silly: You watch the tape and the creepy girl visits you... and scared you so bad that you become deformed?

That movie scared the shite out of me. But all scary movies scare the shite out of me.
We had a friend that, after watching this with his family on movie night, went around his house at 2 AM and turned all the TVs to a static channel and turned the volume way up, then ran back to bed.
His mom apparently woke up to the noise, walked out to see the tvs, lost her shite screaming, and ran in the shower to hide while grasping a mag lite for protection.

When that came out i had a roommate who was scared silly of it

The premise was stupid obviously, but there was so much weird stuff to the movie (scenery, drain hair, the weird ladder and horse or whatever) that it was pretty effective at scaring the shite out of me.

After watching the movie, once the 'holy sh*t that was scary' wore off...
I was more bothered by: So this girl can't sleep and maybe psychically causing others in the town to go crazy... so they threw her in a well... thus contaminating their water supply with a dead body? What type of solution was that?
