I’m amazed by these fires. Is this one still 0% contained? Is there anything that keeps these fires from roaring through a big city if it gets closer to LA, other than man made firefighting?

RH of 4% in Santa Monica today. Santa Anas coming after not getting any rain for the last few months. Not good.

And the SPC has the same areas tagged for high end fire risks early next week too and no rain to be found for at least the next week.

In the long run city planning will adapt.

You can't have trees next to your house even if shade is nice.
