I went and drove around the 17th Street break and Lakeview area. You could still drive on the road at the break. The oak tree that was dug out by erosion and the houses on pilings then realize they are a slab house. Seeing 2 story houses with a water line 2-3ft below the upstairs window.

Parked a motor home off Canal street for Mardi Gras in the late 80s. Stepped outside and into a gang fight right outside the motorhome. Later that night, there was a shooting literally 100 yards away.

I saw Ted Dibiase (or maybe it was Bob Roop) fight Stagger Lee in the Superdome. If Stagger Lee was unmasked and turned out to be Junkyard Dog, JYD would have to leave MidSouth for life.
Late in the match, both the referee and Stagger Lee were knocked out and Stagger Lee was unmasked. He was able to put the mask back on and pin the opponent just as the referee regained consciousness.
