Small town in Northeast TX.

I wasn’t anything special but played football and ran track. One of my football buddies started hanging out with one of my track buddies and eventually became co-workers and pretty good friends when I went off to college and the military.

They each got married, had some kids, and then literally got divorces and swapped wives when the kids were just old enough to figure out something was off. The kiddos go through the motions but really still don’t know whether they are cutting out or sewing up.

Anything from the old hometown that you never saw coming yet completely throw you for a loop?

Look up the story of Janice Trahan and Dr. Richard Schmidt

He was married, but not to her. She wanted out. He infected her with HIV and hep C. First case in US history where a case was connected by the DNA with the virus.

There was the kid in my neighborhood growing up, he was maybe 5 or 6 years younger than I was.. His mom and dad were part of a non denom church.. The dad was this nerdy looking guy and his mom was taller than the dad and not fat.. just big boned lady.

This was probably when I was in my early 20s are so.. So the kid must have been 16-17 years old.. Evidently his parents were not home one day, went search around their room and found his dad's porn stash which included a video tape. He put it in, I guess expecting to watch some porn.. It was a video of his parents with another couple.

The kid flipped out and supposedly confronted them about it. They were swingers and had a couple they would swing with. When all said and done, they got divorced, the other couple got a divorce and the dad and the wife from the other couple ended up together.. Her then ex husband ended up with some woman they "played with".. And the mom.. I don't think she ended up with anyone.

When it comes to small towns, anything is possible. And the funny part is that a lot of times it involves people you would least expect it from.

I went over with some friends to a girls house. Her mom taught at my school. Once kid found a box and opened it. Inside was nudes and VHS tapes of the teacher and her husband and other guys.
Very odd. She was a fat ugly older lady too. It wasn't exciting to see.

Damn. Someone could have done some damage with that.

Could you imagine if someone decided to go get a bunch of copies made of the teacher's nude pics and went around school putting them in random places where people would find them?

I knew a guy, he was a few years younger than I was as well, but his dad had a massive heart attack and died.. The next day his mom learned that he (the dad) had another family in another town.

He had a "mistress", a girlfriend on the side.. Whatever you want to call it and she had a child for him. He was taking care of the her and the child. I don't know to what degree, but all of a sudden your dad dies then you learn he had a whole different life.. That has to be kind of fricked up.

My hometown was nearly wiped off the map by a tornado in 1952. It killed over a hundred people. There are pictures of a diner with no walls or roof, but a place setting, complete with napkin and silverware sitting on a table, like a waitress had just set the table.

I was born and raised in Slidell. Nuff said. It’s well documented, albeit sometimes unfairly and inaccurately, on the OT.

People actually cut down over a hundred cypress trees in a management area to keep people from hunting "Their Spot"....

What’s your age range? Had an older couple that we were friends with that lived down there and relocated after Katrina.

He was an expert known fly fisherman.
