LINK

Anyone ever been to this? I'm usually not a fan of things like this in suburbs but may get dragged into going this weekend so would appreciate any thoughts OTers who have been may have.

It is pretty lame. I went the first or second year with free tickets and would not make any effort to go back.

It's going to suck. Texans put the cayenne pepper on the outside of the shell.

I've seen this advertised in recent years but have never been to it. There are a lot of other places to get crawfish near The Woodlands, some of them from people native to Louisiana. I rarely see them dusted.

Just go to Woodlands Seafood on Rayford and get you some live ones and boil them yourself. No Texas crawfish is good crawfish. They're absolutely clueless on how to boil them.

I can attest to the shittiness of Texas crawfish.

I had an Aggie try to tell me how to boil crawfish yesterday. His first step was to tell me that he uses a turkey frying pot.

Nothing he said after that worth even typing here.....

Well, he DID say that he uses a 2 liter bottle of country time lemonade instead of cutting up lemons because the lemons soak up all the seasoning and the crawfish will be bland.

I love Texas but they need to stick to cooking beef and mexican food and stop pretending to be coonasses.
