Can you get LUS Fiber? If so it's far and away better than anything I've had

I would cut off my left nut if LUS was available at my house. I am in Broussard so we do not have that option. And I have fn had it with Cox.

unfortunately, cox is likely your best bet for internet service. however, if you cut the cord and cancel cable, your internet will go up about 20% if you were getting a discounted rate for bundling services.

i know people say they call in and threaten to cancel and cox keeps offering them deals, but this was not my experience at all. i was already planning to cut the cord anyway but wanted to see if they'd make me an offer i couldn't refuse. not only did their Retention Department not give a shite i wanted to leave (customer for +10 years), they have this whole script now about how over-the-air stations aren't going to be available anymore...which is a lie. they're apparently making enough money with their internet racket to not give a crap about keeping people on the TV service anymore.

i wouldnt get rid of cox internet. AT&T is too slow.

If you have Cox cable you are dumb. Worst option between satellite, uverse, and cox.

I believe the fine print says that the pricelock applies to the full price, not your discounted rate. They can't raise the full value but they can nix your discount in a heartbeat.

This has happened to me before. Just threaten to cancel, and they'll bump you back to the original bill*

Here's how Cox works:
Step 1. Sign 2 year low rate
Step 2. Wait 2 years
Step 3. After 2 years, call and threaten to leave
Step 4. See step 1

Price wise, it sucks, but service wise I have never had an issue with them.

I am in Broussard too, what kind of issues are you having with cox besides the price? I never have issues with service.

They pissed me off a few years ago about something I don't even remember now beyond how pissed I was. I pay more now for Dirctv but don't care. My DTV cost would have to triple before I thought about going back.

Netflix craps out alot at peak times because apparantly our whole damn neighborhood (Cypress Crossing) gets throttled at the same time on evenings and weekends.

Price sucks, customer services sucks. Tired of doing the song and dance every 12-24 months.

Thats the point I am at now. Sick of the terrible customer service and bs ways they always raise rates during a PRICE LOCK GUARANTEE. I'm going to the COx office tomorrow at lunch and if they don't honor my 2 yr rate I will cancel on the spot. I don't care if DTV costs more at this point either.

Their tech has been at my office since 8, working on our phone system. I heard him say on the phone to someone. "I already called Technical Support and they have no idea."
