Really sad melt
You're an idiot. Learn what a melt is...
I'm laughing at that snaggle-toothed, Cochise wannabe that got exposed as a fraud.

You’re coming across as upset.

Your stance is unsurprising.

I don’t know why.
The kid got paid. Kid probably pulled more money in today than most jokers here will ever see.
I don’t know how his life got ruined here.

Because you're a one trick pony whose political leanings are blatantly obvious.

Right. I'm sure you also don't see how Darren Wilson, Blane Salamoni, etc. have had their lives ruined by liberal lies.

Or I said something that hurt your feeling and you’re raw about it.

Nah, but congrats on ducking the actual point.

Except I didn’t.
This is the best thing that’s ever happened to that kid. Good for him.

you did. OR are you just not seeing the rest of that post that you seemed to have ignored?

You have no clue what he's gone through. Money doesn't make everything OK. Following your logic, my wife dying would be the best thing to ever happen to me since she's very well insured.

It's mostly a question of state law and whether the defendant’s actions were malicious, intentional or grossly negligent... In the Gibson Bakery v. Oberlin College libel case, the jury initially assessed $11 million in compensatory damages and $33 million in punitive damages against Oberlin, for a total of $44 million, but the judge cut back the amount to $25 million because Ohio law has caps on damages. The judge then tacked on $6.5 million in attorney’s fees bringing the verdict back up to $31 million.
Although this is on appeal in Ohio, it's a good example of a case that didn't garner a fraction of the media Sandmann did. And I do believe Kentucky does not cap either compensatory or punitive damages.

My logic?
Sounds like a poor analogy you came up with.

Or it sounds like exactly what you're saying about Sandmann's situation.

Yeah, his situation.
I don’t know what’s up with your weird fantasy about your wife dying.

My FIL watches CNN. It's sad. They don't even attempt to be journalists.

Might be closer to a tenth of that if I had to guess.
Lol.
They continued to report incorrectly with a purposely edited tape to make the kid out to be a villain for over a week after the full video was released.
They refused to issue a correction when their story was debunked the next day and full video was released to refute their assertions.
They kept up with the false narrative even after the student got doxxed and received threats - for weeks.
College admissions and employers will see him labeled as a racist on the 1st page of their google search.
How much money did CNN make off clicks and views on info they knew to be misleading and incorrect?
You cannot allow any business, much less a prominent member of the 4th estate to purposely target and defame citizens. The monetary judgement must be such that the lesson is painful & remembered.

Bill Mahr was still spouting the original story a week after it was debunked
Hope he has his pen and checkbook ready.

And again, there's been recent examples of major media annihilating people over a fake story who've ended up settling for way less than 7-10+ million.
