Were they all equally blatant, refused legally requested corrections, purposefully harmful and by a news channel with the reach of CNN?
If all those are equal I can only say different judge, maybe different state. This really was an egregious act by CNN. Punitive damages may be all that separates today from the next victim.

Punitives that exceed a single digit ratio are almost always reduced. Doubtful he'd get very high compensatory damages with the lack of demonstrable economic harm.
