The median number of days from first symptom to death is 14 days.

And average time to show symptoms you sniveling cun.t?

6 days to show symptoms on average from infection

Our health system which has the largest covid cases in our entire state is averaging 23.8 days between presentation at hospital to death

So I rounded 29.8 to 30 days

Peak infection for us here in Louisiana would have been around early to mid March. I don’t think it’s far fetched to say leak infections were obviously earlier in New York, making it in February

You don’t know as much as you think

I got really sick back in 2011. Tested negative for flu and strep. I obviously had COVID-19.

A lot of people don’t realize that’s exactly the same logic being used here. And it’s a news article trawling for hits trying to make the insinuation.

It’s certainly not the doctors, in spite of health officials being interviewed in the article. The insinuation of an December infection doesn’t come up there, just a blurb from the anonymous sources that was immediately dropped and not followed up on now they can justify making the attention grabbing headline.

Stopped here. Does anyone ever say "so just to confirm" followed by something that genuinely summarizes the statement they are responding to?

Around 5 days. You still haven’t made the half way mark.

quote:

So I rounded 29.8 to 30 days

And then added another 15 days for a “what the hell?” Or did you forget your outside estimate was 45 days?

quote:

You don’t know as much as you think

And yet, in spite of you spending another post “clarifying” your point, have only made a case for a peak in mid-late March in spite of saying it made “perfect logical sense” for it to be in February.

And:

quote:

Our health system which has the largest covid cases in our entire state is averaging 23.8 days between presentation at hospital to death

Even in your theory it would be 20 days from infection day to death, not 14. You can’t do basic math

Your theory is 14 days from symptoms to death

And it takes 6 days to show symptoms

So infection day to death is 20 days even in your very own theory

And one other thing you are greatly confusing, 14 days is the benchmark used for considering someone recovered, it is not the average time from symptoms to death

It broke out in October, therefore, you should track those which with they had contact, so as to ascertain how they got it.

I think you need to step away from the keyboard and calm down.

I never said it averaged 14 days from infection to death

And death peak occurred almost twice as many days away from February.....soooo what exactly is it you think you are arguing?

Seems unlikely. Feeling ill in December and testing positive for covid antibodies 5 months later =/= you had covid in December.

death peak in New York was end of March into very early April

30 days before that is, you guessed it, the end of February

It’s not outlandish to think infections in this country were peaking in February

This case is far from being conclusive that the couple def contracted the virus in December

Seems possible as well.

Valid counter. They could have had something else in December, then later gotten covid but were asymptomatic.

I can't wait for antibody tests at your leisure so I can stop hearing every mofo under the sun tell me they think they had it already.

So it peaked nationally in February because it peaked locally somewhere earlier. Ok. Makes sense.

But if you want to focus on NY:

They didn’t get to a double digit death rate until March 25, longer than the general median infection>expiration timeline.

So essentially you are arguing NY all got infected at a party on the last days of February, and then the severe cases all hung on and died on right hand side of the bell curve.

frick averages and the fact that they mean half of a number occurs before that date, we got dat New Yorker spirit!

Why? No other reason but because you apparently can’t stand to be anything but contrarian to anything i say.

Antibody tests are a joke. Might as well flip a coin. But Roche pharmaceuticals has just developed an accurate one. Problem is the Germans have already bought them up.

I could never say 100%, but my entire household all got sick in January and we never all get sick at the same time. It was very unusual.

My family believes it was coronavirus, but IDK.

Had it at Christmas ....low grade fever and a residual cough for about a month....a dry one at that. The only thing that finally broke it was getting on a bike and pushing about 12 miles int he a.m. for two weeks.
