t is fricking weird how some people can get it with a minor exposure, others can avoid it with a prolonged exposure.

This is pretty much the basis of my question.

I did all of that an caught the Vid Jan 1.... But.. I was sick with something between Cold and Flu symptoms for 3 days. I lost smell and taste day 4 for 3 weeks. Got it back and all is good..

Here is the kicker... I am 56 with hypertension and a dad bod with a BMI of 26. I was worried I could be a statistic.
I did remarkably well. I attribute it to supplements!!

This is anecdotal but my NP wife has been on Vit D for years for bone health. When COVID started everybody in the family (12 people)got on VitD and zinc, including the grandchildren that live close by.She has been exposed literally everyday since the beginning,1/2 of her co-workers got it but she never got it nor has anyone in the family.
She actually did get the vaccine after awhile but no one else took it.
I talk up Vit D and zinc to everyone I know,I find there is a shocking lack of knowledge about preventatives.I recently ran into guy I’ve known for years that is a manager of a dept.in the hospital.Naturally we talked about COVID,he and 10 of his staff got it.
He knew nothing about Vit D and zinc, never heard of it for prevention.
I was kind of shocked but I guess I shouldn’t have been.Hospitals make money off sick people, there is no money to be made on prevention.
Then factor in pressure hospitals are under from the CDC and their enforcement arm-Center For Medicare and Medicaid,it’s in their best interest to follow the narrative of our corrupt and dishonest Medical Industrial Complex.

Zinc
Calcium
Vitamin D
2 baby aspirin
Daily multi
Ashwaganda
Tongat Ali
7-10 grams of fish oil

I was taking that anyways for most of my adult life.

I eat a lot of berries, apples, oranges. Chicken stock, rice, meat, potatoes, corn, yams.

I avoid processed food as much I can.

I supplement with a shite ton of south american red wine and higher proof whiskey.

Still antibody negative. Exposed weekly since the beginning.

Whole fam has been taking Vit D, K2, Magnesium, and Zinc for the past year. Even outside of benefits if contracting COVID, nearly every human on the planet would have health benefits from supplementing those vitamins since we are all very deficient.

One thing the OP mentioned was low dose aspirin.

It's recommended for men his age anyways due to benefits around circulation and heart health. T

Nope! Recently the government has warned that the negative effects of regular aspirin use is worse than the benefits.
Daily aspirin usage is a dicey proposition

Funny how that announcement came about a week after low dose aspirin as an inflammation fighter was determined to be effective against contracting COVID.
Coincidence? I think not.

Vit D

When my doctor suggested this he also told me about how as a country we were mostly D deficient because of the use of sun block. he said we went from one extreme - too much sun/skin cancer - to too little sun - D deficiency.

he even pointed out that the nation would feel this affects with future flu viruses or worse. He said the shot for the flu simply kicked the can down the road, especially without proper nutrient.

At 66, I have taken Quercetin, D3, Zinc and C since March 2020. I got Covid for 2 days in early September and less than a bad cold.

I’ve been exposed many times and haven’t contracted the virus while those all around me have. I am a very healthy 64 year old.
I wish there statistics on this but I’d like to hear any anecdotal evidence you may have.

How’s your health? Any known risk factors? What was the nature of your exposure?

Just curious: what MG dose of zinc are most of you taking? I bought a bottle of 50 MG tabs but already get 15 MG in a multi-vitamin. Kind of hesitant to take the 50 MG since the 15 MG claims to be "136%" of recommended daily total. Can you overload on zinc safely?

Have you been tested? Some folks get the virus, but the symptoms are so minor that they don't really disrupt their day to day activities.

This.
Not until they get the test do they know they had the disease.

Remember:

“They have developed a vaccine that is so safe that you have to be forced to take it against a sickness that is so deadly you have to be tested to find out whether you have it.”

Fantastic. I work out daily and I’m of normal weight. No risk factors.

I was exposed at my gym actually

I take vitamin C, D, biotin, fish oil, and a daily mens one a day.

I also lift weights and do cardio 5x weekly. I don’t eat shite foods. I had the virus and it was nothing more than a mild fever and loss of senses.

There are people literally getting legs amputated because they are non compliant diabetics. You think these people care enough about themselves to take vitamins and do the basic minimum not to be a fat slob?

Wasn’t it just reported that daily low dose aspirin is not a good idea and should be avoided?
