So it was deemed essential in Florida...which means that they can't tour the rest of the country like to do non-stop year round. Also there is still on crowd so the only reason to do shows is for TV which only happens 3 nights a week and 1 Sunday a month for PPVs.

A lot of the guys released were producers and some referees....obvsiously if you aren't travelling around the country you don't need as many of these guys especially since all the events are at the same building now.

The superstars that were released are basically not used in any TV angles right now and haven't been for a while and obviously don't have any plans for them in the future.

It will be interesting to see if any of these guys get picked up by AEW. I don't think any wrestling company is going to be investing in superstars right at the moment especially since Indies are shut down and AEW has taped all content through Double or Nothing.

ETA I imagine that they will hire all those producers back (if they will come back) when this thing is over along with Chioda....I'm not sure what they will do with English....I think he wants to wrestle so it could be a Randy Savage type deal where they just let him walk.

ETA2 I imagine if AEW were still rolling with live empty arena TV shows that AEW would at least pick up the Kanelis'....they had a pretty hot angle going to prior to coming to WWE and WWE couldn't really capitalize on it....I think AEW could do that. But again I doubt they pick up any of these guys right now.

ETA3 I feel bad for guys like Rowan, Logan, Anderson, and Gallows mainly from that list....they were the real work horses....shite Gallows and Anderson were in a real TV angle that probably would have had them in a decent spot after WM had the CV not shut down all live events and crowd populated TV shows.

I really only think AEW is going to shoot for The Revival right now, and I think they are going to demand pretty pricey contracts . I think that AEW is in the spot as many are right now where they really can’t take on many more contracts currently.

I don't even think AEW will sign the Revival until after Double or Nothing....and right now I'm not sure how much leverage a talent has to demand a certain price....certainly not a talent at the level of the Revival....they think pretty highly of themselves but they don't draw shite for money.

Didn’t see Ryder’s name on there at first glance. Yeah, that’s going to sting his collecting habit. He drops huge money on action figures.

They're still recording shows.

Most of these guys were never on Raw and Smackdown, and we ain't having house shows for quite some time.

I don't see any company signing anyone until things return to normal. There is no way AEW will pay The Revival or anyone else what WWE did. They can make up the rest on the indies. Anderson and Gallows can go back to NJPW.

That brings to question will there be any "Indies" after this is all said and done....I'm wondering if NWA will even come back.

ETA Obviously eventually some independent wrestling will be back....but I think it's hard to say that we will see the Revival wrestling for South Houston Extreme Championship Wrestling the day after this thing ends at the local high school gymnasium.

The wrestlers should unionize.

The lead writer on the longest going and arguably best storyline going in WWE today (Otis/Mandy/Dolph/Sonya) got canned:

Basically losing Moxley and Jericho hurt them way more than losing either of those two did WWE.

They have too many god damn writers anyway....they need to let Prichard and Bischoff run creative and let them have the freedom to allow wrestlers to bring some of thier own stuff to the table creatively.

The thing with Prichard and Bishoff is that they were always good with taking wreslers ideas and massaging them into something Vince could latch onto...which wins over the talent and the old man.

Vincent Kennedy McMahon of 2020 will never allow that though.

ETA House shows (whenever they come back) should basically be 95% talent driven. If the talent can get stuff over at the house shows then it can get a go on TV....that's how they built the attitude era. "If you smell what the Rock is Cookin" started on the house show loop.
