Rusev is legit funny as hell, has a great look and a hot wife. Its their own fault they couldn't find a way to make money with that guy.
They were moving a ton of "Rusev Day" merch. The problem is he and his wife repeatedly broke keyfabe. Everytime they decided to push him those two would frick it up. Made him go along with this last bullshite storyline, made sure his wife was locked in with them, and then dumped him. She got big money like OC so she could be in the second wave of cuts (after the storyline is over) unless Vince decides to be petty AF.
AEW needed a big guy to balance out Archer and with wrestling being declared "essential" in Florida, don't be surprised to see Rusev next Wednesday night. I can't see OC picking AEW over NJPW. The rest are likely headed to the indys/ROH. I wonder if Angle revives his commissioner character with AEW... especially since he has connections with ex-Impact & WWE guys (Cody/Dustin/Ambrose/etc.)

Could do both, Matt Hardy's new AEW deal allows him to go to New Japan & Moxley is already doing both.

I'm sure they had some plans for a PPV before the CV. The bottom line is that the US Title doesn't mean squat to NJPW....and I doubt it means squat to Moxley.

Interesting you're not bothering to deny that WWE is creatively bankrupt.
Nobody in their right mind can sit here and say that creatively that WWE is great....however WM36 was a step in the right direction and as you so eloquently put it "I mean we're in the middle of a pandemic so..."....so to pull of what they did at WM36 when they did it and in the way they did it is encouraging on that front.

Mickie James, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel, and Titus O'Neil can be added
Bray is lucky his character is so over. Otherwise he would have joined his father and brother on the List of McMahoncuts.

Billy Kidman still wrestles? Dude was shite when I watched it 20 years ago.

They've already got the next few weeks filmed. They could still film something and insert it but that would be weird. Rusev is the same as The Revival, he's not getting signed until things return to normal.

That is surprising....I'm guessing AEW is going to let anyone do it that needs a little more money until they have the ability to raise guys pay....which may be never who knows.

Man these cuts are like the old Post- Wrestlemania cuts on steroids.
ETA: How can you fire Slater!?? He's got kids! (Also so much for 3MB all having world titles.)

Mike Chioda is a surprise he has been with the WWF/WWE since 1989.

I don't think either of those are true but okay. The point is you said NJPW "lost" Moxley which just isn't the case.

Cheers to them for pulling it off but if more dumb skits and holding back the talent both in ring and on the mic is progress then that says a lot about where WWE is.

Thank God Scott Hall/Razor Ramon didn't get cut. He's the only one worth a shite.

They weren't able to use him like they originally planned soooooo

Just because you can work with NJPW doesn't mean they want to work with you. Omega is allowed to work there too but they're still mad at him. I don't know if they would be interested in someone like Matt Hardy or The Revival or Rusev. Tony Khan won't allow them to work NJPW shows in the US so that may an issue too.

He retired years ago. He was working as a producer.

It was
But most of the talent cut here are either producers/road agents, which aren’t needed at this point
Or wrestlers who haven’t drawn money in a while, except for rusev, gallows, and Anderson

Chioda had been with the company some 31 years.

Sucks for Ryder. I think he’ll end up in AEW and make a name for himself
