Everything is about balance. We have a good parent network, grandparents, babysitters and usually take a couple days out during the month for ourselves. I won't apologize to anyone for spending time with my wife alone, no matter where and how we chose to spend our time.
There is a lot of self righteous losers in this thread that don't have the money sustain OT baller status with a kid. This is your problem. I have the Benz, House, Money and Woman of your dreams. They mad cuz they ain't us!

So you're a 1%er that isn't paying his fair share? You're one of the biggest liberals on this board so I assumed you didn't take any deductions and donated some extra tax dollars to the gubment each year, no?

I only get my kids on the weekends fri-sat-sun when I'm off.
My GF's ex gets theirs every other weekend.
So when I'm off on Friday or Saturday only and it's the GF's free weekend we go out.
Then some weekends we have all 6 kids. Lol

I'm 38 and have a 5 month old. I still go out during the week and some weekends. I can do it because I'm not a pussy and because if you never slow down you never get old.

We pay for sitters... the Brentwood/Franklin area is full of willing/able sorority girls

I don't even go out during the week and i have one 3 year old. The only thing i miss is my bowling league. If you need to go out to bars in your 30s, youre not ready for marriage or kids. Everyone I know over 30 who still goes out is either single, divorced, or will be eventually because they frick around.

Every weekend is excessive OP. But if you have no kids you don't know.
The relationship has to remain. If you just become "Mom and Dad" you start to lose yourselves. Got to take a weekend once in a while or a night just for you two. Otherwise you begin to resent the kid and each other. Which leads to guys and girls nights out.
You have to do things together without kid/kids or you stop becoming the couple you were. If that stops, one of you WILL frick around.
The every weekend people may have a network of friends and grandparents clamoring to baby sit.

Ditto.
My wife and I might have a date night every once in awhile, but we haven't done a bar or late night party in a long time.

I can't go out two nights in a row, or two late nights. its too much for me.

Are you married? Because when we didn't have kids we went out ALL the time. 3- 4 nights a week. After kid 1 came along the cost of babysitters alone in NYC was a deterrent. But then we also wanted to stay home and be with our child. It was all Netflix and Chill from then on.
