It's a life balance just like everything else. The parents that refuse to leave their shitty kids side suck just as bad as the ones whose kids are being raised by their grandparents.

I wonder this as well. Have some former neighbors or that are out every weekend and they have a 3 y/o and a 4 month old.
We aren't even 30 yet with a 9 month old and we are dead tired on the weekends.

Worst part of having a grandparent keep the kids to go out is picking up the kids with a bad head the next day

I must be getting old because I was thinking just yesterday how I can't hang with late Friday nights anymore.

I must be doing something right cause I'm 35 and will leave work at noon Friday, drive to the camp, drink til 1 am, then wake up at 4 to go hunting

Hangovers suck the older you get. Especially when you have children to take care of the next day.

These people wonder why Junior and Janette turn into juvenile delinquents.
It's sad at how many children take the brunt of parent(s) anger (who am I kidding in today's single-parent society? parent.) because they can't go out and get shitfaced every night.
Many LOL poors just lock 'em up or let them roam, they give not two fricks.

Yeah, well, I'm pretty sure I could pull all that off, too. I'd just need a nap or two sandwiched in between.

We only get a sitter a few times a year. But you bet your arse we will be howling at the moon that night.
And then hungover and whining for the next two days.

Some of us have real shitty kids and just need those little escapes like going out to the bar or whatever. Get off your high horse bro.
I can honestly tell you I am in the outside looking in on this one, let me tell you why...
I don't have kids, I'm not married and my life is fantastic because I made the decision long ago that I am going to be enjoy being single without a burden in my life as long as possible. It is absolutely fantastic and my life has benefited tremendously from it. Every one of my friends that is married with exception for one says I made the right decision, but they mostly say this because they cannot get strange.
For instance, I just got done eating dinner and I'm waiting on a girl I have been seeing(she is almost eight years younger than me, btw) to call me to see if I want her to come over tonight. I know she is going to want to watch tWD with me and probably bug me about it during the show. I also do not want her staying the night and she is starting to develop a bad habit of this. I must put a stop to it soon, I don't need clingy bitches sulking around my place. Why am I telling you this? Because that is the biggest burden in my life right now by far. Some 24 year old hot body who is waaayyyyy too clingy. Life. Is. Good.
But just stop and think about this, friend. Maybe you need to accept the fact your kids are shitbirds and instead of running to your local watering hole whenever they act like brats, maybe you should own up take responsibility for your kids instead of being a drunk.
Is there anything wrong with going out three or four times a year and having a good time? Hell no, not at all. But if you want to get away from your kids/responsibilities, then taking a nice vacation without them and let your parents/relatives is a great alternative.
You see, it is easy to look down on people for being trashy when they are indeed acting like trash.

You see, a few times a year is totally acceptable and probably necessary from what I see with the way parents let some of their brat kids walk all over them these days.

Going to the camp on the weekend is totally different than going to a bar/night club. In fact, I would say the majority of my friends that have camps do so not for strictly hunting but for getting away from their families for just one night.
Hell, my buddies and I did this while I was at LSU constantly just so we didn't have to spend all weekend with our girlfriends. Even if it was just going to Venice or woodville for one night.
