I know, right? That's one of the dumbest statements I've seen on this forum, and that speaks volumes. This makes me wonder if he's one of the ding dongs mentioned in the story.

I meant to add the extra money was not from the drill bit co, it was randomly from some other customer of the bank (I guess) because he had asked his company if it was them.

That's a good question. The restitution was actually denied due to the forfeiture. We filed a claim for the funds. Long story I can't go into but end result was government had a nice $500k cash infusion + some notes that actually have value.
