Anyone know of any local drafting services/architects doing more traditional style house plans. I’ve checked out the websites for Acadiana, Bonocorso, and Madden and they all seem to only do the hip roof Louisiana style that looks like a Pilgrim hat. I tried contacting Kabel by phone and email but apparently they must be no longer working cause I haven’t gotten a response in over a month. Looking for something like this

Hire an Architect, show him that picture and let him go to town designing a home.

It's not that expensive.

Design the floorplan then design the outside and roof.

Any competent draftsman/architect can do that.

No architect designed a home for $850

Your guy selected an existing floor plan and moved a few lines

Yeah, that’s horse shite. We had a to scale hand drawn floor plan w/ roofline and it cost $1500 Just to get the plans drafted.

Any decent architect is gonna charge 8-12% on a custom home design.

I'm well aware of that. We actually chose from several he had. But he modified the specs to fit the picture and the base layout we provided.

If my post implied otherwise, my bad. I never thought anyone would assume anything more.

My wife and I built a craftsman style home last year. Used my friend from school as the architect. He works in Lafayette. Reasonable price and the house is still standing.

That's basically my house I'm building right now. Paid a draftsman $600 in Lake Charles to draw it up.
