Post her true weight that she walks around at, not the weigh-in weight.

Here's the other thing- if you haven't won in the first 45 seconds you're done on conditioning alone. The average man off the street is gassed out after a minute tops.

Nobody on this site could be Amanda Nunes, unless they’re an MMA fighter.

Get. fricking. Real.

Not a chance on my best day in my life.

Yes I was super in shape, whould not matter if someone is trained to "pro fighter level" in grappling or jiu jitsu.

I doubt you 95% of you would never land a blow.
If not in great cardio shape, you be sucking for air before 2min into fight...yeah even you gym bros.

Some, but less than you think.

Their striking doesn't scare me a bit, but some of them are sneaky good at grappling. A lot of these women could choke you out if they get your back in a scramble if you're not trained at all. If you're a decent wrestler, you're likely fine.

You think the average guy is going to grab Nunez take her down and walrus her into submission.

That’s exactly what would happen when someone 200+ and in decent shape fights her.

We could start the fight with her having the deepest headlock she could get, and I’d still win in under 10 seconds.

The thread isn't about would female pros beat male pros it is about can the man on the street beat a top level female pro.

It’s actually about you

I can beat any 135# woman, if it’s an average guy off the street then I’d agree they’d lose. The average guy is fat and lazy.

It’s about you if you had no training as in if you train now or did in the past imagine what you were like before you started training in martial arts. Could that person win the fight

Yep

Have you ever felt how strong a woman is vs a man?
I carry 100lbs of elk on my back in the mountains. You think I can’t get up with a 135 woman on my back, jump and land on her, which would kill her, or I could just grab her arm and remove it from my neck.

Here’s two girls trying to submit a guy. They eventually both got on his back, and when he finally felt like trying hard he threw them both off and submitted both.

Just to clarify, in this thread we've gone from the average untrained male, to very fit male athlete. Then we showed videos of professional male fighters fighting women fighters and saying "SEEEEEE" Then we went on to professional male tennis players, cyclists, etc beating out women and saying "SEEEEE".

This is about your average untrained dude. If you practice BJJ, Judo, boxing, this isn't about you.

I'm disappointed in the OT.

Instead of having this thread every two weeks and considering MMA gyms have sprouted up like weeds across the country, this debate seems tailor made to actually be settled in the ring.

Surely we can get one of our valiant OTers without experience to match up with some (not even pro) MMA woman fighter that meets the requirements.

Everybody here is in their 40s and 50s and while that tends to make the threads banal and repetitive (Exhibit A: this one), the upside is that enough posters here have enough coin to chip in 20-25 bucks or so for the winner and enough free time to go to the gym and record this for our amusement. Hell, Chicken...I know you're lurking this thread. Put in a grand and write it off!

Enough back and forth. Let's do this!

I volunteered earlier in the thread to fight a chick if someone would line it up.

Eta: all I need is her to sign a waiver

Everybody would be signing a waiver. To be honest, it would be more for my protection than the fighters since I am now officially on record as encouraging this.

The OT is also littered with lawyers.

A dude without training against a legit BJJ woman fighter and I am going to have to go with the chick all day. A dude with no training would be a prime target to simply get his back, sink in a rear naked, and 8 seconds later he is out cold on the ground. She would not have to worry about eating any punches honestly since most dudes have no clue how to throw a proper punch anyway. All she would have to do is slip a loopy hail marry and easily get the back.

We got a couple of legit female Purples at our school that are salty. If I am not paying attention they can get me even though I could easily outmuscle most of their subs if it was an actual street situation.
