Fat, old people finish marathons.

It’s not that hard to just finish.

If you can’t finish a marathon, you should just quit at life.

Not all marathons are created equal. Terrain matters.

Well yeah.

But I don’t think most people are worrying about the terrain at Boston.

You win the “most OT post of the day” award.

Y’all realize people walk marathons, right?

I’m not talking about running the entire thing hard.

We are also going by OP’s year of training standard.

No shite. I've never been much of a runner. Never enjoyed it. I'm not some big land whale but I doubt that I could run a 5k without training for it

Don’t you have to qualify for the Boston Marathon?

No.

You can get a charity to sponsor you.

Man you had to add a lot of qualifiers to support your ridiculous statement

You can either qualify or run with a charity. The latter does not require a qualifying time.

I would've thought the "most OT post" would be more along the lines of:

'Win it? Knowing my luck I'd train all year and then bomb come race day...'

or something along those lines.

What? No I didn’t.

I said just finish. And the OP is the one that added the “year of training” standard.

I stated in my first post that only 5% could actually run it well.

Nothing I’ve stated should be ridiculous.

Well, to finish the Boston Marathon, you have to actually get in the race first.

A 35 yo male has to average about a 7 min mile pace...just to qualify.

Or you could get a charity to sponsor you like thousands do every year.

Is this a joke/troll job ?

The average O-Ter could not finish in under 3:30 if given a year to train, FACT !

A group from work ran a marathon a few years ago. If some of those people could do it, anyone could.
