Anyone ever have a pier and beam house leveled and can suggest a company in the Baton Rouge/Pierre Part area? I'm going to start calling around this week but its time I get the camp leveled. Its starting to sag in the living room and my bedroom. Trying to figure out if its worth it to do myself or just pay someone to do it but I have no idea what it costs. House is a 2br/1bath and about 800 sq ft

Rent or buy some heavy duty bottle jacks and cut some wood wedges and shims. You can do it yourself as well as replace any footings.

Yeah, I know how to do it, just never priced it out. The older I get the more willing I am to pay someone to do stuff like this though. Just trying to weigh my options.

Make sure you investigate and eliminate the root of the sagging issue before you level.

Wait long enough and a hurricane will level it for you.

The root of the problem is the entire area is river silt and there is no way to keep anything from settling over time. I knew this when I bought the place and its just time.

I got my 1200sqft raised house lifted another foot and leveled, and it was $24k. The big named companies wanted between $90k and $120k. This was in Metairie
