My membership lapses this month so this is reason enough to not renew until this policy ends. I love Costco, but I'm not paying to wear a mask.

Costco will be requiring all customers to wear face masks beginning in May amid the coronavirus pandemic, according to its website.
Effective May 4, "all Costco members and guests must wear a mask or face covering that covers the mouth and nose at all times while at Costco," the store's website states as part of its COVID-19 policies.
This doesn't apply to those unable to wear a face mask due to medical conditions or children under 2 years old. Costco says social distancing guidelines must still be followed.
Also beginning May 4, Costco will resume regular store hours. Medical professionals and first responders will still receive priority access and can move to the front of the line by showing a Costco membership card and proof of their profession through an I.D. badge.
All U.S. Costco warehouses except for Kentucky, El Paso, Texas and Puerto Rico warehouses are allowing two people per Costco membership to enter the store. For those exception areas, only one person per Costco membership card is allowed to enter the store.
The food court is still open with a limited menu and takeout is available.

If I wear a mask inside of a store, I am not paying for shite when I leave.

Sweet. Less people in Costco on my next trip.

Most businesses will require customers to wear masks for the rest of this year.

Highly likely they are being strong armed into this by government

This is the way it should be. Businesses decide for themselves instead of the government making everyone do it.
I have no issue with this.

Won't do anything until the check out clerk changes their PPE between customers.
Spread from one customer to the next at checkout!

But wait... this might keep me interested. If I can skip to the front of the line I'll wear a mask.

Should be a lot easier to use someone else’s membership card

I have no issues with them doing it either. But I'm not going to pay a membership fee for it.

I’ve been in Costco almost weekly since all this shite started without a mask, along with most other shoppers. Why start this stupidity now?

So the TikTok nurse who was laid off when her plastic surgery office closed down will be able to skip the line?
Sorry, I'm just grumpy as frick this week about this whole thing.

I won't be patronizing any business that forces paying customers to follow silly rules like wearing a mask. Especially when non one in these stores has been wearing one for 6 weeks

Well.... I won't be going to Costco.

Why effective May 4th. Apparently it’s safer to go in for the next 5 days (or for the last couple of months). Monday must be when the real contagious version hits the stores.

Costco in Harris county, along with almost all other businesses, are requiring masks to enter as of Monday. I was denied entry into a store yesterday because of no mask.
