Cancer kills upwards of 600k Americans/year.
I couldn't find a hard number on Federal cancer funding but it is under $50 billion.

LINK

We just spent $2 trillion plus on coronavirus.

Just saying.

Does cancer spread through the air between people by breathing alone?

There you go

Bruh....this has been discussed a million times. You cannot get cancer by someone coughing or breathing on you. This is embarassing.

No, but we care more about death when it spreads easily from person to person.

It's really not that hard to understand.

A death is a death. Period. Cancer causes exponentially more death than covid-19, but it doesn’t matter as much because it’s not contagious? That’s fricking retarded

You can't spread cancer by coughing on someone. I love the false equivalences yall are throwing around. And by love, I mean hate.

"Flu kills more people!" We have a vaccine and know how treat it. It's also a completely different virus.

"Cancer kills 600k every year!" Yeah, and you can't get cancer by being around someone else with cancer.

Do people who make these arguments understand just how differently we'd be living if cancer could be spread from one person to another? It would be a complete dystopia, with every facet of life revolving around destroying cancer because it would be a literal existential threat.

Do you not realize how selfish you people come across as when saying things such as this?

You only put emphasis on a virus because you can catch it. Otherwise who gives a frick.

We currently have ZERO data that indicates that covid is anything less than 10X more deadly than the flu. Lots of people are guessing about it, claiming there are a lot more people infected than we know. And I agree. But in order for this to be only as deadly as the flu, there needs to be more than 30 times more infected people than we know about. Do you believe that is the case?

Why do more Americans and politicians not want to eliminate known causes of cancer?

Of course cancer matters, you dolt. But cancer won't spread through a community, country, or the whole fricking world via the fricking air.

You act as if this thing has a 100% mortality rate this isn’t the fricking happening or bird box. You aren’t getting it from stepping outside for fricks sake. You may get cancer from being outside though

wow, you can get cancer from sneezing and coughing on people? You're a real testament to UNO. On second thought you have to be some sort of troll.

What the frick are you talking about? We have banned tons of substances. We have very strict regulations regarding radiation exposure. Cancer and its known causes are taken very seriously.

I feel like I'm talking to a wall.

If the virus wasn't contagious, we wouldn't be shutting down the country. It would be LESS of a deal than cancer.

But from your posts in this thread, I get the impression that you don't give a shite about either. So, really, whose the moral upstanding citizen here?
