What kind of retards do you work for?

Haven't they been in full lockdown for almost a week? Longer in some areas?
This is getting pretty alarming.

I know Kemp worded it as GA schools closed until 3/31.
So as of right now the plan is for them to start back up 4/1...We all know that isnt going to happen.
We're pretty much assured of being done. My kids' schools are out til April 13th because their spring break was two days after that initial return date so they said to hell with it.

My wife is having digestive issues, but no respiratory issues yet. Should she quarantine? No evidence she came in contact with anyone who has the virus, but this new study is saying that a good bit of people reported digestive problems before respiratory problems came up.
ETA: neither of us have fever or cough either. For her it's just loss of appetite, bloating, feeling of fullness, and diarrhea

I don't understand Italy at all.

The regional lock downs started 2/21 the rest of the country followed on 3/9.

Intelligent ones from the sound of it. The mortality rate in the United States is now below 1.4%. Why are we freaking out again?

Italy makes no sense whatsoever.

It's called state-run, universal healthcare.

Thanks for your response, everything you said makes complete sense. I appreciate it.

At this point everyone should be, as much as possible.
President himself gave the 15 day order.

So I told you guys I would keep you posted. My test results confirmed I am positive for covid. My wife and two girls age 12 and 15 positive as well. I feel extremely drained and I have a persistent cough. Feels similar to to having the flu. My kids are showing no symptoms at all. My work place is telling me that they expect me back in two weeks. I am not bummed out or anything. This just gives me time with my family. I am gonna keep this thread updated as I progress through it. Thank you all for the positive remarks and support. You guys are the best.
You might want to review the new FMLA rules (and existing FMLA)
Won't go into effect for another two weeks but could give you some options for staying home longer if needed.

How, at this point, with all that is going on do you still not realize it's just beginning?
NYC is blowing the frick up and will continue to do so.

I guess its reasonable to hope they start to slow at 14 days but it still doesn't seem to be working at all there.

Wife with coughing and aches. She isn't as upbeat as I am. She is convinced we are all gonna die thanks to her Facebook friends. Lol.

Just FYI from your earlier comments...
California has severe shortages, specifically the sterile swabs used for testing. Our numbers won’t climb until we get more swabs. Newsom and trump are trying to get us more supplies but it’s slow. We are treating based on chest CT or using the last swabs only for intubated pts.

Cases needing hospitalization in New York is nearly 18%
This actually sounds better than expected to me.
I know for a fact that testing here in New Orleans is mainly only being done on patients in the hospital.
If we are missing half of the positives in New York that means the hospitalization rate would be 9%. Not too bad. We need to know how many of those are requiring critical care.

Deleting facebook after the Russian was literally the best decision I've made in my young adult life.
Can't imagine that hellscape right now.
