You mean domestic air travel or international?
Not sure, he just said "restrictions".

It seems though that bad news like this would wait another few hours to be announced to have a weekend cool off period. Also air travel stocks are surging right now and insiders would not be buying if this were the case.

Man that will suck for my coworker that has been in Costa Rica for the week.

They would if there is a bail out plan w/ the restrictions announcement.

You may be right. Things are pretty illogical right now. Hard to decipher truth from rumors. If you had told me a few weeks back what the world would like today I would have laughed at you.

Smoking was the least of her problems. 4 times divorced. Isolated from all of her family including her kids. She’s still kicking (and smoking) but I haven’t spoken to her in almost 2 years since her brothers funeral.
Sounds like mine. She only divorced once, though. I tried to mend things in her last years as best I could. We were on better terms. Still, your mom is your mom. You may have a lot of disdain for her now, but you’ll miss her when she’s gone. Reach out sometime.

Are those not simply recommendations and not actually orders though?

Flight tracker map shows tons of airplanes still traveling just like normal.

The virus wasn’t here in November
There are several reports that China covered this thing up at first and had numerous cases of unknown viral infections that were negative for influenza as early as early Nov or late Oct. So it is absolutely possible that an infected person went undiagnosed and asymptomatic in November and traveled from China to the US.
So I really don't think it is out of the realm of possibility that the virus was here in late November or early Dec.

Also not trying to be right.
Just passing along information. The person is pretty high up in United.
I guess maybe better to not share anecdotal information but its purely discussion in my eyes

We'll probably never known.

For sure. I appreciate the info. I have given anecdotal accounts of what we are seeing out here. I just also see stuff on facebook that gets reposted and is clearly false. I sincerely hope you are wrong though.

Considering how restrictive they are of access to the country...maybe not that bad?

Friend works for United, apparently travel ban coming in 45 minutes.
My god, how many different variations have we heard of this over the last 2 fricking weeks?
Everyone gets a text screenshot with the same rumor, has no idea who it actually originated from, then sends it off saying their "friend" sent them this that works in DC/airlines/pentagon/army. Am I missing any?
frick, people.

If they're planning on doing it, at this point what difference does it make? This shite is out of control.
a HUGE fricking difference. Like hundreds of billions of dollars of difference.
If you let the market close first, a travel ban panic would calm down somewhat by Monday.
