South Korea has aggressively tested cases of COVID-19 and won praise for its handling of the pandemic. The country's basketball league now has games scheduled at the end of this month after a 4-week long hiatus.

Does anyone have any idea how many trials of the medicines will have to be done before it can be accepted as part of the standard care? That would seemingly reduce the potential overload on hospitals and staff, right?
I understand the vaccine will be a while. But once a vaccine is available, this theoretically shouldn’t happen again with COVID, right?

200,000 cases in three months. If this thing were as contagious as people think, the exponential growth should be in the millions by now. And if it is in the millions, and most people are asymptomatic, it's nowhere near as deadly as people think it is.
Either way...exponential growth or not...shutting down the world economy for the next few months is completely pointless and far more dangerous than this virus will ever be.

That's what I'm saying. There could be millions of people out there right now who are infected and don't know it. If this virus is that widespread, it's obviously nowhere near as deadly as first thought. So what the hell are we doing if that's the case?
