I mentioned earlier I came back from the UK almost 2 weeks ago and have been keeping up with their progress as well, which may be valuable since they are testing a larger swath of people:
29,000 tested.
590 positive
96% mild
4% Serious
10 fatalities
18 recovered
Also currently on an exponential climb in positive cases.

I love it, but as long as the ignorant unwashed masses are scared and scooping up TP and hand sanitizer, we've got a problem. The herd is spooked and they're dragging us into the dirt with them. I don't know how long it takes to get this economic train moving in the right direction, but we're facing a years long set back on fear alone. The economy is a china doll(no pun intended) in the hands of an ADD 2 year old.

I think 1% is a high estimate, possibly very high.

I think there still a percent or 2 worth of Princess Diamond cases that are still not on the path to recovery and still taking up hospital and ICU beds a month later - so a final fatality rate is not known.
On the flip side, if it can be assumed that everyone on board had at least a passing exposure to the virus, the fact that “only” about 20% of them ever caught it may be taken as a positive.

While it’s an expert opinion, it’s still an opinion. They don’t know how many people will ultimately be affected. But whatever makes you feel better(or worse in you’re case).
