Don't know, but look at the facts behind a lot of these cases (including almost all of the TX cases). Seems like every damn one of them went on a Nile cruise last month. And I read somewhere that there are a bunch of Americans over there now quarantined on one of the ships. Who people keep going on these cruises in the face of this is beyond me.

I have an old neighbor bragging about her upcoming cruise on Facebook. She's in her early 60's and has diabetes. She states she's just going to use a lot of antibac gel and wash her hands and she will be just fine.

All of her friends are egging her on, telling her-- go girl, I'm going too.. It's amazing to me how people think "IT" won't happen to them because nothing ever has.

Tennessee isn't releasing county info anymore. Very annoying.

That's shitty of them to hide information like that

By definition it did not happen to you, nor is it close to happening to you. So all the hysteria you claim is so prevalent is basically non existent.

Yeah, the Johns Hopkins map went away from that too. I thought the county information was very interesting and helpful.

I’ve been to Italy before. Amalfi coast is where I would go. There aren’t “attractions” there.

Says who? The health care system handled h1n1 just fine. We have 3 times the capacity as italy.

Well, I see your math hasn't improved.

I would ask if you have anything better to do than troll this board, but I suspect I know that answer already, unfortunately.

It is going to be interesting to see how this works and how people react. The guard will be used to deliver food and clean.

Like I get privacy laws not letting you know what street/shops the people go to like Singapore's data, but I feel like telling me if the person lives in Nashville vs Dickson isn't a big deal. I'd like to know where cases are clustering, generally.

now you’re being obtuse on purpose. It was a hypothetical. Hypotheticals by definition aren’t actually taking place. What is happening is entire school districts being shut down because one employee is being tested. Universities are cancelling classes and going online with no signs of the virus on campus. Entertainment and sporting events are being cancelled not even in areas with clusters. And you call that non-existent and compare it to when little Jonny’s principal cancels school for 2 days because 27% of the first grade is out sick with the flu. Ffs.

We literally have almost 35 ICU beds per 100,000 people. Italy has 12. We have 5x the hospitals but also 5x the population so there’s no difference there. It’s the ICU care we have.

Schools routinely cancel days because of flu outbreaks FWIW.

It makes logical sense to close a school where outbreaks are happening

Picking random events to cancel sporadically is completely pointless and illogical

We were getting millions of products shipped from China before we even knew this existed and yall think working from home is going to be what saves you

If this were 1/10th of what you all are hoping it is it would have already spread like wildfire here.

It's going to scare the ever living shite out of them to see military personnel roaming their streets in level 1 suits. As I've mentioned before in this thread, we have a plan for this, but most are not going to like it.

Whats the average occupancy rate for one vs the other?

What good is an ICU bed if its occupied by someone else?

You either systematically shut down and quarantine the nation, pick very specific areas(schools with outbreak, specific workplaces) or you do nothing differently at all

This half arse randomly canceling some events does nothing. There is no logic at all

It’s good for the person in it I would guess.

ETA: or bad for that person depending on your perspective.
