Germany versus Italy comparison for those who haven’t seen. Compare the dates. Will see how Germany does over next week or so.

But don’t let the numbers fool you. People like wewewaawe on the front lines have to be exposed and then expose their families. Poor guy.

Jk... what is nCFR? Fatality rate expected?
nCFR is naive case fatality rate - just deaths/total cases
cCFR is corrected case fatality rate - it is a model derived number based on a handful of factors
The problem with nCFR is that it doesn't account for people that are sick now but might die in the future. It also doesn't account for people that are sick now that we don't know about and that can be addressed though calculated term infection fatality rate (IFR) but IFR has a lot more uncertainty associated with it early on in an outbreak.

Louisiana State Board now pushing for testing to be done. Just sent out release.
“COVID-19 testing is now available through Quest and LabCorp. We are recommending that any clinician in Louisiana who has a patient with a febrile illness compatible with COVID-19 that does not fit the State of Louisiana testing criteria below seek COVID-19 testing through these other channels, while providing appropriate isolation recommendations for any patient they are testing. Providers should immediately report positive COVID-19 commercial laboratory results laboratory results to the Infectious Disease Epidemiology Section at 800-256-2748.”

Better (More from Louisiana State Board)
“Recognizing persons who are at risk for COVID-19 is a critical component of identifying cases and preventing further transmission. With expanding spread of COVID-19, additional areas of geographic risk are being identified and the criteria for considering testing are being updated to reflect this spread. In addition, with increasing access to testing, the criteria for testing for COVID-19 have been expanded to include more symptomatic persons, even in the absence of travel history to affected areas or known exposure to another case, to quickly detect and respond to community spread of the virus in the United States.”

Or, and hear me out...its not as bad as many of you want it to be.
I expect this level of sky screaming hysteria from places like DU, Reddit, CNN, etc.
Surprised to see so many OT posters behaving like retards.
Although it does appear to be the same dozen posters, a tiny fraction of the OT.
Is BeerFlu Thread the OT version of the Q Thread?

You guys are so gullible. This is utter nonsense. Go look at the Johns Hopkins webpage tracking all known cases and mortality. It absolutely does not jive with your terror narrative in any way..... anywhere. It IS NOT spreading exponentially and has been here for quite some time. They are just testing for it now and finding it.
Stop the madness and go to work/ school/concerts...whatever.

President of Texas Medical Association coming in hot:
“I know for a fact that we, the physicians of Texas, will stand up and put our patients first. We always have, and we always will. As physicians, we are all keenly aware that we have an ethical obligation to provide urgent medical care in the event of an emergency of this type. This obligation puts our health, and even our lives, at risk. We accept this risk”

What are you talking about? Italy just shut down their entire country.

Eh. That’s a bit of pandering. He’s not really saying anything that any other health professional in a leadership position wouldn’t say. Docs putting patients first. How edgy.

Uh......maybe that tweet thread is true after all
“Until a few days ago, the thinking was the alarm would pass in some weeks, we just need to follow the rules. Now we need to explain to citizens that the situation is very, very serious, our hospitals are at the point of collapse,” the mayor of the Lombardy city of Bergamo, Giorgio Gori, told RAI state television.

Yeah, I mean, it's only doubling it's numbers per day in Italy and Germany. No big deal. It's just killing thousands of old people, so none of us should care.
