All these old political assholes are prime candidates to get it. Traveling constantly, shaking hands of nasty arse people.
Rallies full of morons. It will be a minor miracle if one of trump, sanders or Biden don’t get it.

Isn't the region that has been hit hard in italy very old, economically poor, and losing population?
Very old, yes. And it most definitely is playing a role in how many are dying given the proclivities of this virus.
But it feels like you are trying to rationalize how bad it’s getting over there. At first it was easy to dismiss, backward Chinese peasants. Now it’s not.
The core province of the Italian outbreak, with the most cases and deaths, is one of the more populous economic powerhouses of the country.
Italy is the main reason I started to be a little grimmer in my posts. It’s a 1st world, developed country, and it has been crippled in less than 40 days.
Granted, irrational fear played a large role in that, but the fear was buttressed with clear, objective facts. It’s spreading in spite of harsh quarantine attempts, and it’s leveled their health care services.
40 days.
Muh flu.

I think the better question is how long are you planning to stay?

The military has its own version of the CDC and I am willing to be they had the virus before the CDC and have done extensive research and determined it isn’t a threat
You mean USAMRIID?
Don’t get me wrong, they have a lot of expertise in their own right.
But the assumption they have done extensive research? Based on what? The virus didn’t exist 4 months ago. How much of a head start could they have had before the CDC? What, they got their samples via FedEx vs the CDC’s DHL?
And it’s not like they have the resources to out research the CDC in brute force approaches.
Their main value here is they have a lot of work in modeling spread and have national level plans for response already written up.

Now wait a damn minute, you realize you're comparing them to the CDC right? Think about that for a second.

Oh he’s going to enjoy his staycation
It’s going to be when he won’t be able to get a flight back out of the country, only to be thrown in a then-crowded 2-3 week military quarantine when he finally makes it back to the states with that visa stamp from Italy.

You are crazy if you want to go to Italy right now
Flying SFO to London and then to Rome then Palermo
Leave 4/22, hope this shite is cleared up.
My flight to and from London is refundable but I called Alitalia airlines this morning and they said that as of now my flights to Rome and Palermo is still on ‘without’ refunds but they are monitoring the situation and for me to keep checking back in the next couple weeks

South Korea has drive thru coronavirus testing. You pull up in your car, they ask you some questions, you get swabbed, then they call you with results.
We are so far behind it’s sad
