On and off for probably 17-18 yrs. I still run daily though
I was in the best shape of my life less than a month ago. But ever since this quarantine bullshite I just drink and smoke everyday. It’s very depressing. I lose track of what day it is fairly often.

saw you were 44 and with COPD. Seems bit young? I’m just curious because I smoke. How old were you when you were diagnosed?
I was diagnosed at the age of 40. I smoked since I was 18. I also smoked the ganja until just a few years ago. If I were you, I would try to quit asap.

Commander Data - get to bed and get some sleep.

Sleep comes in waves in here brother. Every time I fall asleep a LPN wakes me checking my vitals. I will be home and in my own bed in a few days it looks like. Can't wait.

Good stuff, man.
Are they talking any plasma/antibody stuff with you since you beat it and were an obvious case? If you mentioned it already, I apologize. Haven't kept up with the thread daily.

Can you go through and screenshot all the dumb early posts?

Yep, I am in fluid way over load and don't know how I can contact my Cardo doc. Taking a shite load of Lasix that is not helping.
Are you serious? There’s no on-call service that mans his/her number? You need to see somebody.

IHME said their model was being refreshed yesterday and I was pumped.
Well, it never happened and now the April 4th commitment is scrubbed from their site.

I think it’s difficult to not look at these rates of infection and morbidity rates and not want to go look at poverty rates. I would imagine that’s another factor that LA/NY/Cali share is the amount of citizens or per capita that live at or below the poverty line.
That’s a huge indicator for poor health outcomes.

I heard it mentioned yesterday in passing by some talking heads on TV. I was walking through the living room so didn’t stop to listen, but pretty sure there is a correlation.

All the doctor said was that I will go home and self quarantine and then come back after two weeks for another test. Should be home soon and I am crossing my fingers that its today or tomorrow. My oxygen saturation was up to 97 today and they came and drew blood this morning for the lab to do a blood gas test to find out my true blood/oxygen levels. My blood oxygen saturation was like 85 when I got here a couple weeks ago and I had a persistent cough etc. My fever had spiked to 102 at home when the OT guys here pleaded with me to go to the hospital.
The staff here at BMC in Birmingham has been top notch. It has been surreal seeing them walk in here we with n95 masks and sometimes a full face shield but I understand. I asked the nurse about the shape of their icu unit and ventilators etc and she side stepped again saying it was against policy to talk about it but I convinced her to tell me that their unit is around 70% full from what she has heard and they have several intubated covid patients but she didn't know an exact amount.
I am severely worried about the economy. My wife said I will be happy when I am able to freely leave and go fill up the car. Said gas prices have gone way down. I guess I will double up as teacher when the kids start doing their work by computer starting April 6th I think.
Regardless, I will let you guys know how the visit with my doctor goes. You guys have been a bright spot during this time for me especially when things weren't looking to good and I was fearful that I was gonna end up just another statistic. You guys are the best.

Even if we do what the “experts” want, it takes us into June/July before this thing is completely on the way out.
If it ends in June, that may give schools enough time to have enough practice time to still have a football season even if they don't play in front of live crowds. One can hope.

Italy appears to be over the top as their testing continues to increase and daily new cases have started to decrease.

Has anyone determined why so many people are asymptomatic? Seems weird that you can have this and literally have zero symptoms.
Seasonal flu I think 3/4 people that test positive don't have symptoms either.

Good, I wish they were still getting the coverage they were when they were all gonna die

Have been remotely following this thread the last few weeks Commander. Hang in there Sir, we're all rooting for you. Sounds like you're getting closer to the light on the outside.
