Is it accurate that there is no law against one person spitting on another in that jurisdiction?
No, in Connecticut assault includes spitting, but not explicitly. It's in the case law, but not the language of the statute.

Didn't violate any protection orders and there were not any no trespassing signs posted
Based on your arguement jehovahs witnesses and door to door salesmen trespass every day

Long Island Audit is a convicted felon and overall POS.

So according to the cop, spitting is not actually an assault. Wonder how many charges will be reversed based on that statement
Here’s the lightest example I could find.
LINK and LINK
There has to be other factors/variables at play for it to be even a Class B misdemeanor.
The cop appears to be right. That doesn’t mean that all other cases where spitting occurred and it was treated as an assault must be thrown out.

I watched a good junk of that video and I never saw him or the cameraman walk toward the street. They were backed down by an home owner, in street clothes

I dont think I have had either in about 20 years at my door. Definitely zero since covid

A lot of them do. Our neighborhood has clear no solicitation signs posted by the entrance, and we still get them often (salesmen anyway).

No he didn't otherwise he wouldn't have been able to spit in his face.

100% they do.

It’s like you and I saw two diff videos.
As soon as asked, dude began walking backwards, at the same speed he was approaching the home.
He wasn’t arguing, just talking to the camera about the pos officer.
Officer ran out, got in his face with a gun, spit on him, etc. Cop escalated situation tremendously.

If the guy wasn't a cop, you and many others likely aren't defending the other guy
Yall realize you're watching a selectively edited video, right?

Are we talking about the cops or people filming

At the 3:15 mark where he told his cameraman "let's go"
Again, he is not required to "shut the frick up".. that pesky constitution protects freedom of speech/of he press

He was walking towards the road. He was walking backwards and filming as the guy with the gun came after him. He never paused until he reached the public road. He absolutely did leave when asked to. I feel he could have paused at the fork in the drive if he wanted to, as it looks a shared access road and cop owned only half of it. He basically was chasing Sean off someone else's property. Sean going to his house was questionable as better to have talked to the cop at his place of work. But Sean broke no law going to the house. No protection order in place, and he left when asked. It was sickening how the responding cops behaved though.

You realize the constitution has nothing to do with an altercation between private citizens right?
