You serious? You really think that cop would not have felt terribly horrified if he had accidently killed that woman? He took a risk and it paid off. If he really didn’t are about the woman’s life he would not have even responded to the call. There is a conversation that needs to be had about police, but you’re just a tool.

just staring down the barrel. It would be easily doable without an optic in a practice situation, especially at that range, but I’d be hesitant trying that with a hostage in front and all the adrenaline.

I usually don't have very many good things to say about law enforcement officers but that shite was legit.
Announced his presence, gave clear Direction and quickly and keenly took advantage of his window of opportunity to safely end this situation for the hostage. Very much justifiably as well.
