Depends on how badly they need help.

1. No, I'm just a regular guy. Nothing special. And damn sure not RELISHING the idea of involving myself in anything where I'm not ABSOLUTELY needed.

2. That's your call.

But.... It seems to me that the bystanders in this situation had more than enough time to make an accurate assessment of what was happening.

But like I said, just my opinion.

Well, sure- but I don't think this was one of those times.

I've asked if they've needed help before, and it's always been declined. JPD officers aren't just technicians, they are trained in conflict resolution and do a great job IMO.

Drunk people are the worst to fight. They give no fricks.

Same with certain drugs. They won't even react to pepper sprays, tasers, etc.

Now give me a good pot head after he's smoked all day long. They're a pleasure to cuff.

It was pretty clear the cop was in over his head and needed help.

Thee fricking honk til.ing is stupid enough to tell the cop he's in a very aggressive stance. Wtf is wrong with all the losers who pull against cops when they are properly trying to do their job!
and like the cop has to tell that fricking Xing what the guy did! imo those two distracting the cop helped this situation get worse.

The people filming deserved to get the shite beat out of them. I know 99 percent of yall will disagree, but they let the cop get his arse kicked and if they would have helped sooner that fireman would still be alive. Those idiots would rather video something that they had no clue what was going on. I fricking hate people like that. This is on the bystanders. Disagree all you want.

It is their fault the cop couldn't handle himself long enough for backup to arrive?

What would you be saying if the bystanders jumped into the fight to help the cop and got themselves shot?

The knee to the head is why he got his face pounded. Which resulted in him killing the dude. He triggered that dispite the guy not complying. Don't they have tazers? Nah, dropping a knee on his face is cooler.

I hate to side with cops but deadly force was very justifiable

The woman filming had more balls than the eunuch she was with.

It was. The knee to the had probably wasn't, and it escalated the incident from resistance to fighting.

I agree the knee to the head was a miscalculation. He was tired, was struggling and was looking for a way to get the suspect subdued and cuffed to end the incident. I don't necessarily think he should be blamed for the knee, but in retrospect it was a miscalculation on his part.

If this guy died do to tazer incident then everyone would be crying "why didn't the cop just man up and cuff him. He had him restrained on the ground and he was on top for Christ's sake." "there was no reason for a tazer the guy wasn't following commands but he was no risk of harm to the officer"

Maybe he could have used his baton and subdued the suspect prior to trying to cuff him. But then it would read "cop beats un armed man who was already down on all fours"

Do I think his move was the smartest move in subduing the guy? No. Do I think the cop who was asking bystanders for help was for one freaking moment concerned about what move was the coolest? No.

The fact is subduing another human one on one who has full use of all of their limbs and is refusing all commands requires superior force, a weapon, and/or the infliction of pain. This holds especially true when the person being subdued is younger, larger, and apparently stronger.

I dont think most people realize how freaking hard it is to subdue someone. It is hard as hell and physically exhausting. It actually is damn near impossible if the person is bigger than you
