Building up wind speed before a strike, obviously.

Please call this town's police review board at 817.556.8894 and ask that Officer Dupre be fired and charged with animal cruelty. Why?

What should be done with stray dogs that menace babies and grannies?

They can be handled by animal control which somehow manages to catch and confine vicious dogs while being unarmed.

Why wouldn't the cop let animal control take the lead on the call?
It is because they want to be rough and tough protectors of everyone.

My gf was an animal control officer for 5 years in a bad county in California, and she did not ever shoot a dog. In fact, she chewed out a bunch of cops over the years because they immediately wanted to shoot the dog.

Had one time when she had the dog on the pole and it started flipping out. The cop then decided it needed to be shot when she was 5 feet away, holding the dog on a pole. The officer got fired because he popped of 7 rounds, almost hitting her, and none of them connected

How odd she look? Man-ish? From your story, I'd guess man-ish.

One thing this thread has shed light on: there doesn't appear to be a single goddamn OT'er that knows shite from shinola about pit bulls.

I hate cops but pit bulls justify this IMO. too dangerous for normal society. They had a fricking grandma and 2 kids trapped in a car. non-story

Pit bulls would be the last breed I'd pick simply bc of public perception but that's still a shitty attitude and this cop needs to get the axe with zero of that bullshite "hardship pay" that so many of these gutless GED toting cowards make off with

People are still surprised that police use unnecessary force? You are giving guns to honorless hairless apes, no shite they are a bunch of loose cannons.

Not sure if I would go that far, but the profession definitely doesn't attract the best and brightest.

Why is the sound he made relevant? If he would have whistled or said "here kitty kitty", would it have made a difference? We have a group of large dogs acting menacingly towards vulnerable humans. Perhaps he should have cooked them some prime rib and presented it to them in the hopes they'd prefer that.

Nice job using these "menacing" words to make it sound more legit. Since when is a few dogs running around a car "menacing" behavior towards these "vulnerable" individuals. They sure were acting "menacingly" towards that cop that unloaded on them when he was in no danger as the dogs were just running around in the ditch
