About 20-25 years ago, i was around 8-10 years old, Johnny Unitas and YA Tittle came to sign autographs at the Kmart on millerville. there was only like 20 people who showed up so me and my dad just talked to them for about an hour and a half. I didn't truly understand who they were. They were pretty old, but i remember them being super nice and easy to get along with.

Drew Brees was a douche.
I don't believe you. I met him at a Lil' Wayne concert and he was awesome.

I met Aaron Piersol (and a couple other Olympic swimmers) in Baton Rouge when I was in high school.
A buddy was with me and asked him what sort of music he liked to listen to prior to a race. The guy responds with straight-faced sarcasm about how he really likes anything with a banjo and keeps it going for a bit before laughing and letting us know he's much more into Led Zeppelin. I appreciated his humor and personality.

Had a drinking contest against former LSU/NBA center Geert Hammink at Sports in Tigerland back around '92-'93. Back then I had a reputation of being able to consume a massive amount of alcohol without getting drunk.
By the end of the night my head was down on the bar. My friends had to carry me to the vehicle and I passed out when I got home and spent the next 24 hours puking my guts out. From what I was told, Geert barely caught a buzz.

Joe Sakic wanted me to hang out with him in the trainer's room before game 7 of the 2001 Stanley Cup Finals.(media type).
I wanted to vomit I was so nervous. I couldn't be near him. He acted like it was a Sunday BBQ.
One of the nice people I've ever known . Athlete or not.

Met Hershel Walker at a military base in Missouri a few years back. Excellent motivational speaker, ridiculously shredded, and a wonderful human being. Took my phone from my hand and took the selfie from the angle he wanted it.

Ted Williams was known to be standoffish but he was really nice to my Dad. They were both WWII vets and Williams had actually met my dad during WWII and they were both pilots.

I was stationed in Hawaii, and during one of the Pro Bowls some of the players took a tour of my submarine (2002?). These were mostly B-list type pro-bowlers. The only player I remember now was Jason Taylor... and Jim Miller.
I am from Chicago and Jim Miller was the Bears' QB at the time, and he showed up on the tour with the rest of the pro-bowlers. I was confused, mostly because there is no way a Chicago Bear QB should be allowed near a Pro-Bowl, so I asked my gut question, which was "What are you doing here?"
He was cool about it, but kinda taken back I think. He was send to Hawaii with the Pro Bowl because he nominated the "Teacher of the Year," and not because his actual skill set warranted a Pro Bowl. Either way, he didn't say much the entire tour.

Ray Lewis. His son was in my class all throughout elementary school and he’d occasionally roll up in his Diablo to drop Ray off (although we didn’t see him for a while during and after his trail). I know a few MLB players and 1st rounders who are from Orlando, they’re all pretty good dudes.

I met Shaq at LSU and he was really cool and down to earth. I met Phil Michelson at the Zurich and he was really nice.
