Never seen the one of the Challenger crew.
Gives me an uneasy feeling looking at their happy faces.
Edit: I just went back and read up on the O ring failure which caused the disaster and that is horrible.

Probably. I found an old honda 3wheeler in the woods at my hunting camp. Cleaned the Carbs and she fired right up. Still needs new throttle cables and brakes, but I was impressed.

Very cool photos. Thanks for sharing.
Did the Challenger crew have any indication there was an issue before the explosion?

Probably is. Pic says 1970s, but that is a Big Red 250 from either 1986 or 1987 so there is no way that pic was from the 70s.

Yep, wasn't that installed like a year previous to the launch?

I think you're right. My older brother got a Big Red when we were kids. I got the Honda 110. My dad bought them for us and had them sitting out in front of the house when we got home from school. 7th grade. Ahh, being a kid was fun. We put some miles on 'em.

Looks like more bikes than bodies, and even the people on the ground seem to be alive.

Yeah, I thought that pic looked more 80's than 70's.

I don't think so. The last thing they heard was throttle up, then boom.
