Not the only one in BR either. COA. Probably BREC Zoo. I don't understand how these things can go unnoticed and I don't know what to do about my tax dollars perpetually getting wasted. I might start a watchdog group, but then I would be wasting my time.

They have massive reserves and are grossly overfunded, yet don't maintain shite.
I understand they've been saving up to build a new zoo, but that doesn't explain why basic routine maintenance at their parks is completely ignored.

BREC, CATS, the library system, and others are all huge messes in part because having a millage dedicated to them means a LOT of money and that it can only be spent on projects under those agencies.
Which is why you get shite like the boondoggle library downtown which no one wanted and which went millions over budget due to a faulty design which was discovered during construction.

“New zoo” won’t happen as long as the current zoo remains a jobs program for Baker and NBR.
