I doubt ICE needs your assistance…

Deport all illegal immigrants and their families. Require them to apply for work visas through a straightforward process. Allow employers to lawfully hire any illegal immigrant who obtains a new work visa.

If an individual has a job and a valid work visa, they—and their family—can stay. However, if someone is caught without a work visa, they should be permanently banned from entry. If a person holds a work visa but does not have a job, they have three months to secure employment or face deportation, along with their family.

Illegal immigrants without said work visa should be banned in all 50 states from obtaining a driver’s license, applying a credit card, opening a bank account, getting a loan of any kind, attending any public school or university, and most importantly applying for state or federal assistance of any kind and never allowed to vote in any election at any level.

Come here legally or suffer the fricking consequences.

Anyone who maintains a job and a valid work visa for over ten years has demonstrated their value to society. As a result, they should automatically gain U.S. citizenship.

I fail to see why we cannot reform the immigration system to provide a source of affordable labor while maintaining both a physical and conceptual border. This approach would prevent U.S. taxpayers from shouldering billions in assistance for third-world migrants who don’t speak english and hate our culture—all just to keep the price of blueberries down.

And I fail to see why any American would have a problem with this type of reform regardless of political affiliation.

I always find it funny in threads like this and IRL conversations yall act like illegals specifically Hispanic ones come here with some sort of advanced construction knowledge that is irreplaceable and impossible for American workers to grasp

No, they come with little education and almost no knowledge, but they come here with a will to work in heat, in the rain, in the cold. They will put in 14-16 hours a day, 7 days a week if you let them. They aren’t (for the most part) craftsmen. The work isn’t always pretty but it’s usually sound. They butter the brick with way too mortar, they use half a damn tube of sealant at a termination joint, they burn up the tool tying to install ties too quickly (all complaints I’ve heard from my customers). They drive up your material and equipment cost. But they show up to work every damn day, they don’t spend all day looking at social media on their phones, they are there to work.

I met some industrial construction workers in mid 80s and they were all making 40 bucks an hour and thought they were doing great. One day at lunch one of the guys, (who also was a preacher bizarrely), explained to me that they were not even middle class.

I remember saying to him, “How can that be you are making 40 bucks an hour, etc?

We went on to tell me they had zero benefits, no healthcare, etc, and even with OT after healthcare cost, taxes, etc it wasn't as much as I thought. Also, they couldn't work if it rained hard, and got laid off all the time and were lucky if they got to work 8 to 9 months out of the year, and were fricked if they got hurt. Job had no stability. They had no stability.

Any economist will tell you that no middle-class kids will voluntarily go into a job that's not at least middle-class. So you baws aren't taking these roofing jobs etc.

Not that I'm doubting you, but were is that info coming from? No matter what you read, there are no illegals getting social security/ssi benefits (unless a complex case of ID theft), I know that for a fact.

Hate to break it to you, but the majority of them work "legally" with a social that they stole from someone. I ran a cleaning service based out of Colorado. We purchased a new service and asked exisiting employees for their ID's. Some gave us one that was different from the one originally given to the prior owners. They get multiple socials, sometimes with different names. They do "pay taxes", but they commit identity theft, so they should be out on their keisters. They do get benefits. They usually have kids, and their kids qualify, they work, but the social is stolen, so there's no proof of income, so they rake in housing ( kids can't be homeless), food stamps, medicaid ( mom qualifies because she has kids)

How do I know? They told me about all the benefits they got, and I was paying them on average $23 -25 an hour to clean homes full time. They did not always do great work and worked slow to get more hours.

I had several white and black employees, they worked hard, got no benefits, and did not "work the clock".

When ICE raids the chicken plants in Mississippi maybe they are serious. Maybe some other poster on here can explain to you who owns those chicken plants. (They go hunting and golfing witn the Govenor a lot and all are in Haley’s fundraising book)

Guy above me id correct too, there is a cottage industry in SSNs. They only pay in and can't ever collect so who cares

you seem to be more interested in presenting problems with illegal immigration reform as opposed to finding a solution everyone (Americans) can agree to.

you could present an additional 10 more problems, i still want to deport all of them, reform immigration, and start fresh.

As a victim of identity theft, it's frustrating.

I filed for unemployment in August after a lay off. I supposedly worked at four construction companies in Baton Rouge. I've never worked in construction in my entire life.

When I reported it to Louisiana Workforce, they did nothing.

I have to agree with you. I stand around and watch them work, there’s usually 1 or 2 on crew that are pretty proficient in the respective trade and the rest make up for it in solid labor. They can get away with that on civil, insulating and building scaffolds, not so much fitting and welding heavy wall pipe.

Just remember when you go on the official govt site to verify people, they will say: "you can hire them but we can't verify them at this time". This needs to be fixed. I hate hiring if the govt can't "verify" them. I'm all for hiring only legal people but this has to be fixed.

Why wouldn’t you just call the roofer? Why would you want to talk to one of the random hands? We also have PJM’s on every job so that wouldn’t be an issue with us.

I want answers right then not when I can get roofer on the line or the roofer can get back to house to see what I am talking about.

That’s bullshite. You don’t know who illegals are. Any documents some might have are fake or stolen.

the whole “it would be nice” goes right back to my earlier point.
It would be nice if people stopped hiring illegals. Quit being so defensive about your hiring practices.

Look you can make it a class A Felony to hire or participate in a scheme that hires illegals and up to a 100 million dollar fine etc, enforce it and problem solved. They will all leave. But I don't think even the most rapid anti
Immigration congressman has never seriously proposed that. Why is that?

Because their donors like cheap slave labor and make a lot of money on it. That's the dirty little secret I have been trying to tell you. The reason it is so fricked up is because they all benefit from it. The democrats think they are getting future voters and the Republicans like cheap leader.

The entire system needs to be scrapped and redone. And unless you are going to pick fruit for 12-14 hours a day or want to pay 2 bucks per apple etc we need a temporary plan to get us to that.

Yes. I had a contractor slated to do work on my neighbor's home, but delayed it when four illegal Hispanics vanished last Friday hours before payday. They simply got in their trucks, and left the job. No explanation. Later, we hear they got a tip ICE was en route. Next hurricane, Louisiana will have MAJOR contractor issues.

Haven’t read this whole thread so maybe it has been addressed but can ICE do something about the “In Tow” vehicles with 16 cars being pulled by a barely functioning Frontier?

Just one of the many reasons why the Chamber of Commerce needs to be disbanded and have RICO charges brought against it.

That’s like $130,000/year in 2024 and I’m being extremely conservative with the hours they pulled.

Insurance and taxes weren’t responsible for them being below middle class. They must have spent money like complete idiots.
